A little confused about hydro

  1. Roots are always submerged in DWC but with Ebb & Flow, they are only "FED" a few times a day and people have said that if ebb & flow jams up, your plants can drown.

Why would they "drown" in Ebb & Flow and not DWC?

    Someone please explain...

  2. Because with DWC you use a fish tank air pump and air stones to oxygenate the water. That's why they're often called bubble buckets.

With ebb & flow if it jams up with water on the roots then your plants can drown in stagnant water.
