Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by chocs4life, Sep 2, 2007.

  1. i think my plants may have the beggining of a fungus or mold problem. one of my plants has already died from it and i think my others might be getting it but im not sure. can someone plz post pics of any thing that sounds like this, i dont have a camera and i really nee help! thx

  2. i dont have pics but heres my advice. bleach kills mold. everyone knows that
but bleach is harmful to plants in high concentration. i'd say use a spray bottle with water and a teaspoon of bleach. the plants shouldnt be affected. just keep the spray from getting into the soil. peace

  3. how much is too much? just really really faint amounts?

  4. 2 tablespoons per gallon to play it safe
and if u can lower ur rooms humidity mold wont thrive as well.

  5. they are outdoor plants in Florida, so it is naturaly humid here.....is it safe to clip off the infected buds, clip the moldy part off of them and still smoke it? cause before you told me about the bleach thing i removed some of the infected parts and hung them.

  6. if u get the mold off the buds u mite be able to. and the hanging buds are in dry cool place now rite? if not mold will just continue growing on them

  7. I put them in a shoe box and put that in my dresser drawer with a shirt on top of it..i dont know if this is cool enough though, i would assume it isnt warm in there tho and the cardboard probably absrobs any moisture there might be.idk tho what do you think?

  8. i use shoeboxes to but i have air flow coming in and out of it and keep it dry. its tough getting it cool AND dry. usualli dryness comes with heat but heat is bad for drying buds. your idea of the shoebox in the drawr is good. just make sure to open the box and stir it up/ get fresh air in the box about 2 times a day. peace:smoke:

  9. ok ty, if any1 has anypictures of fungus or mold on bud plz post for me, much appreciation.
