Hello GC, I just have some basic questions before i start my first grow! Alright so lets cut to the chase. I haven't started getting my materials yet for my first grow, but i want to do something stealthy, with CFLs. I probably wont end up using a pc case, like alot of people do, cause i want my plants to be able to get a little bigger before i start to flower them. Alright enough chatter lets get down to my concerns. 1)There are two types of CFLs that i need, right? For Vegging and Flowering. What two different lights do i need? 2)Iv seen videos of people "topping" There plants, is this a must-do, or more of a personal preference? 3)What other tricks is there to enhance your yield while growing? 4)If you have had a "stealth grow" before, how long did you let your plants stay in the Veg stage for before forcing the flowering? And How was the end product? (Look, Taste, Weight, etc) 5)Any recommended websites to buy good seeds? I honestly didn't know you even could buy seeds online and have them shipped to your front door, is this even possible in the US? 6)And lastly, if you have seen any stealth grow tutorials that are a good guideline to follow, please send me a link. I think that's about it for now, if anymore questions come up ill just post them in this thread. If you dont have answers to all my questions thats okay, just replay with what you know. Thanks!
1- daylight spectrum for veg, softwhite for flower. 2-i'd go with lst instead. 3-LST. 4-currently vegging mine since jan 9th. Going for 60 days before the flip, or waiting on alternating nodes. 5-i'm growing bagseed right now. 6- just look under grow journals and read, read, read. I just recently got my seeds from Bonza seeds. Took around 2 weeks to get them and had no problem. I also live in North Carolina
The rest having been answered, #4 depends on your growth rates. An experienced grower with healthy plants might have double or triple the growth rate of a rookie with stressed plants. Lots of research and knowledge behind a successful grow, I've read hundreds of tutorials and no single one covered everything there is to know. Check out the micro grow section and follow a few journals.
