Circumcsision has never been a topic that my mind has pondered. I had heard about it on occasion, but never thought much of it over these past 20 odd years. And finally the discussion was brought up at work a couple days ago. Scince that day I have discovered that, I indeed, had been circumcsised. And now I am in a rage. My parents were very religous when I was born and I expect that is the reason why they let that mother fucker perform such a terrible deed upon me. But I myself have come to beleive that evolution is the true cause of our existence. (Now I know that may not be the case for you and all is well.) Our bodies are an evolutionary marvel of this planet , and who, has any right to decide that this act should be performed on anyone, besides themselves? Even if it supposedly helps stop the spread of disease, or some other bull shit. My father used to preach to me that tatoos or peircings were a desecration to our bodies. But this sick, grotesque, and shocking procedure is far worse than any tattoo. Something was taken from me. Something which I can never take back. Its like loosing the best friend I never had. I can not express the extreme hatred I now have for anyone who thinks this is in any way a good or righteous thing to do. No one should be forced to take this shit at this sick level. I hope that the mother fuckers who began this bull shit died a slow and painfull death!
I like being circumsized..It didnt affect my size, it looks cleaner, and doesnt look like a pig in a blanket..
I just dont understand why the choice isn't given to the child after they've come of age. If I wanted to cut the skin off of someones penis I'd probably ask them first.
Why so angry about it? 20 odd years and it didnt bother you once. Besides, it when it isnt circumsized, it looks gross. Your parents did you a favor. It helps prevent the spread of HIV and it looks a lot better. Thank them
It's frightening that people think an uncircumsized penis looks weird or gross. It's the natural state of the human body. Circumcision is a choice and being uncircumsized isn't gross, it's the way our bodies naturally are. I agree with the first post, why must be edit nature? Saying that an uncircumsized penis is ugly or gross leads me to believe that we are a product of our pornography. Cut men are the standard in US porn so we think that's the way things should be. I personally see a lot more penises in porn than in real life so what do I know? It also smacks of the socialization of poor girls who think they need to be 110 pounds with DD tits to be beautiful. Circumcision certainly isn't my cause but I'm glad I'm uncut and my children will be the same. Between loss of sensitivity and the possibility of a botched procedure(rare, but potentially complete sexually debilitating) I'll stick with what I came into this world with. Also, keep in mind that outside of the United States, circumcision is almost always performed for religious reasons, not secular. Wikipedia's entry is interesting to read and had a chart showing how common circumcision is in the US and how rare it is in many other countries.
Wow. Not to be an asshole but, best friend you never had? That's fuckin creepy. Are you really that mad about it? You didn't even know you were missing something! Evolution didn't call for you to cut your hair or shave, but I bet you do if you have a job. I don't care, it looks better this way to me and to women, the important part about it lest we forget. ack... i really hope that isnt true!! im circumcized, and im not one bit worried about it. sure, it probably hurt a lot, but i dont remember, and it looks a lot less sloppy than an uncut. yea, nature penis should be better, but it just looks wierd to me (maybe because ive seen mine my whole life... gotten used to it) have to say, as far as i can tell, i prefer it this way.
Hygiene is different than body modification. Animals clean themselves but they don't ritualistically cut any part of their bodies off. Rasta, that is a truly frightening story. Did it turn out okay? Infection? Scarring? Sensitivty? How long ago? How does it feel now? How do you feel about it in general? There's gotta be more to that story!
Two things: 1) I'm biased against any comparison of us to "animals," because they do not possess cognitive thinking capabilities and are not capapble of being civilized. To me, this invalidates any comparison between the two. 2) You are listening to R_M outside of an original post or serious argument... this is also flawed.. if I were to do the same I would telling myself "Wow, that guy who does Dale's voice on King of the Hill circumsized himself with a bread knife... go figure..."

Um, it's Pavlov, but whatever. But, you make a very good point about our conditioning. We're used to seeing circumcised penises in north america so it's strange to see uncut, even though it's the natural state of the human body. Okay, but will you admit that there is a difference between hygiene and body modification? My point was that animals, including us, have been cleaning themselves since forever but only humans choose to modify their bodies. Take it for what it's worth but the point I was making was that hygiene is natural and has been taking place as long as humans have been around(200 000+ years, wikipedia) and circumcision is a human invention that's around 5 000 years old(again, wikipedia). Yeah, I missed the reference. I didn't realize it was a joke. I was genuinely interested in Rasta's horrific story. Adult circumcision is a choice but self-circumcision while drunk and high on opium, that deserves it's own tent at the freak show!
Oh, absolutely there's a difference, but there's also a difference b/w the wheel and the internet. Believe me; i'm not well versed on this topic... this is 90% devil's advocate and 10% me being circumsized
