A Couple Questions

  1. So I'm very new to working out and I was wondering about a few things:

    1. I plan to lift 3 days of the week and run 3 days of the week, alternating each day, and taking Sunday off. Is this okay?

2.Should I eat the same amount of calories/protein/carbs on the cardio day as the lifting day?

  2.    Dumbells are great for more then shown as you will see or know.  A curling bar is a great all around item that works great as well. You can make a bench for laying down and doing flies etc.   If you want to build forearms then get a 10 or 20 lbs weight tie a rope to the weights and a stick on the other roll the role around the stick pulling the weights up by one hand at a time curling your wrist. This will make a grip that will break hands when shaking.. http://www.all-about-arm-exercises.com/forearms.html

  3. What are you trying to do? Cut fat or bulk?

Cardio is only needed for good cv health so if you want to be healthy by all means get that cardio in but its not needed. Lifting is all you need body comp wise

Lifting in a kcal defecit-preserve you're muscles on a cut

Lifting in a kcal surplus-bulk up

Figure what you want, calculate your calorie needs and macro needs and go from there
