A bong liquid better than water

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by LivedDevil, Aug 28, 2012.

  1. Hey if you want that one bit more bang for your bong, for even cooler, thicker, extremely palatable hits try this. Take an entire stick of Halls extra strong coughdrops, unwrap each one then drop them into a bottle of water sans a couple gulps. Sit out the water until the candy has totally disolved (1-2 hours should suffice). Brace yourselves. Put the liquid into the freezer, until it reaches a slurpee-like consistantcy.

The fluid will cool the smoke sensation to an artic puff of velvet vapor, by lacing it with menthol as well as diffusing through the slush, and if you remember from physics, when gas is cold it condenses making the hits creamily thick and makes the smoke linger in the chamber until you hit the release hole. No exaguration, the smoke produced in a bong with this special water in place, is more palatable than air itself. :bongin:

  2. have fun trying to clean that

  3. That could work for a crappy home made bong perhaps :) I wouldn't ruin a good bong with it. Sounds interesting.

    Riveting tale, Chap.

  4. I guess this would be an option if you get really bad cough lock, but im fine with some cold water. Pulling even when there is a tingle in my throat from the smoke just makes me feel like im ripping even more. No pain no gain.

  5. Good stuff. ISO would clean it right off too.

  6. Haha geez, the way you make it sound you might as well be puttin liquid nitrogen in your bong. on a more serious note, i'd rather just fill up my bong with cold water and drop a couple ice cubes. plus, last time i checked, inhaling menthol isn't exactly healthy... also, wouldn't the candy make your bong sticky and harder to clean? not intentionally trying to poke holes in your method but i see some possible side effects from doing this down the road.

  7. What the fuck happened to just using water.

  8. You have to put the mio drops in there

Nothing's better for enjoying the unadulterated flavor of your meds, than pure filtered water [IMG]

I use the same RO water that I drink and give my plants; it gets rinsed and replaced with every second bowl. [IMG]

However.... there's also no reason that you can't use a good wine for flavor, or have a little fun with your water pipes, around the holidays, or other special occasions... [IMG]

It's not something you'd want to do every day, but it's great fun for festive occasions, like holidays, weddings, birthdays.. any time you want to add a little color to the usual routine. [IMG]

It pairs well with 'Hello Jello' (dragon/hash-tincture/oil infused, jello dessert treats)..

** But be careful what you choose to put inside your lower quality plastic bongs. These can potentially stain!

If you've got good glass, it should handle food-grade liquids and coloring without issue, just like any other drinking glass in your house.

Cleaning trace amounts of sugar from a glass, is a lot easier than cleaning the leftover tars and residue from smoking, after all! [IMG]

  10. it may be good but water is still the best

  11. Holy shit man.... Thats actually pretty awesome... Defo the best rip ive ever done :D . I used my shitty plastic bong. I didnt have the heart to use my glass piece; i love it too much xD

  12. Interesting thread....

Immediately everyone tells the OP he is wrong or they have something better....

.... without ever trying what he proposed.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

  13. No need to get too concerned, I was agreeing with him after all that it's good to experiment, in addition to trying to help other folks understand that, while nothing is better than pure water to enjoy the natural flavors of your herb, that there's also nothing wrong with experimenting with other liquids and filters within reason. I never suggested that one method beyond water was better than the other, myself.:hello:

You just have to use common sense about what you use, and you have to know your pieces, to understand for instance that a good glass bong is at least as good as a drinking glass, in terms of holding something flavored, without becoming stained or damaged... it's not going to hurt it.
But a plastic piece is like a plastic drinking cup.. it may or may not stain, and hold residual flavors over time, depending on its composition.

That, and lightly sugared water being water soluble, is a bit easier to clean from a bong regardless of its composition, ever if it were to dry out, than the standard resin/tar build up. :D

    Anyhoo, carry on! :smoke:

  14. i believe alcohol absorbs thc as well as fat. bad idea with the wine bro.

  15. If you can't get smooth enough hits with normal water you need a better fucking bong

  16. It's good to see you're trying to look out for another toker. :)

    But keep in mind...

That even with 91%+ alcohol, people usually wash or shake for a good 15 - 120 seconds depending on how much they want to extract, and at what purity.

Now, consider that bong smoke is pulled through rather quickly, and only submerged for a fraction, of a fraction, of a second.

And finally, remember that it's not even making anything close to full contact even during that moment, because the smoke is contained in bubbles of varying size.

Like I said earlier, it's not something you want to do everyday, or it would get old fast!

But especially for those of us with ounces and pounds at our disposal, the virtually indetectable to non-existent amount of potential loss when compared to regular water, is more than worth the occasional aesthetic experience of using a good wine for bong water around the holidays, or anniversaries!:smoke:

  17. Oh, and the suggestion for UV reactive bong water linked above isn't wine or alcohol by the way, using wine is just another festive suggestion to mix things up a bit or make a special occasion more memorable...

    It's just...

    :)

  18. So mixing tonic water with regular water makes it glow like that? It's really that simple? Pretty cool

  19. how can you read that? the pic is all blurry.
