A bad day biking is better than a good day,,,,

Unless it's today!

DAmn, I was doing a pedal kick off a set of stairs and i ripped the left side of my handlebars clean off when i launched. Almost faceplanted, saved my ass, but now my bars are broke in half, and that was pretty much the strongest pair made, they're catually motocross jumping bars and are 5mm thick wall tubing, and they still snapped when i pulled up on 'em. Hey' at least when they broke they gave the onlookers a spectacular crash tho.

I think what i'm gonna do next is get myself a chromoly steel piece of thick wall tubing and get it hydraulically bent to the shape i need, hardened and maybe i'll get it nitride coated for extra strength. It'll weigh as much as most aluminum bike frames but if it'll keemp me from dying on a big drop it's worth it's weight in blood transfusion.
