I bought some ECSD x Sour Diesel seeds that are "90% feminized". The breeder says that 45 out of 50 plants grown were female. My question is: how is this possible? Did he mean that 5 out of 50 showed male flowers (ie were hermies)? I'm growing one of them now. I vegged it for 48 days, and it's been on 12/12 for 7 days now. It hasn't stretched much since 12/12 -- only an inch or so, (like a normal veg. growth rate.) So far no pistils.
give it 14-20 days. it takes a while for plants to show their sex. it took most of my plants 2 weeks to show sex. if done right, it should be more like 99% feminized the 1% is for the guy who stresses the plant so much that it turns hermie.
thanks findme! A couple days after I posted this she showed sex, and today she's on day 26 of flower.
The seeds used to be called "Female seeds", but since you have a supposed 80-90% of gettting a female, not 100%, the term was changed to "Feminised"... femmed seeds are usually from a female clone, that has been stressed to herm.
