80's rocker party

    this was my 80's nite, lol. i found a way to post the pic but u have to click on gallery just below my avatar, to see it. EarlyGirl was nice enough to post it for me, but i had to play around and do it myself lol. i just laugh everytime i see the pic. gotta love the shocker!

    well i guess no one liked the eighties lol! doesn't anyone remember the big hair, pounds of makeup, the music. i had such a good time in the 80's. i remember the guys wearing tight jeans with one of those combs stickin out of the back pocket ;) hehehe

    And yes, I did have long hair and play rock all the time. :eek:


    They had an 80's party at a club here not too long ago. Must say there was some good music, at least for us who listened to that back in the 80's. But most was crap...

    Sounds like you had fun on your retro party :hello:


    Did they play 'The Final Countdown'? Lol you still hear that bloody song from time to time.

    omg yes lol. and a little duran duran in there. u name it it was playing lol. some bad get ups back then eh lol. i don't think i even owned anything acid wash. well probly the acid wash mini skirt lmao;)

    We used to acid wash everything ourself. That and the holes in our pants. Lmao...after a while they even sold pants with holes in'em.

    God, the old songs. Kinda a horrible episode in music history, but I must say it was neccessary, or we wouldn't have the music we've got today.


    Personally I like 70's parties better. Not that I remember too much from back then, but you get to wear the most freaky outfits. Stuff you couldn't wear on a normal day without being arrested for pimpin'. And they got disco :hello:

    yeah, alot of the music sucked, but there are some i still like. like the cult. and i'm sure there are others if i sat and thought about it. u definately had to be there to appreciate the 80's. but i totally dig the 70's. lots of good tunes. tons. i like the old disco songs lol;)

    Disco classicks rock! I love the groove they've got.

    And I must admit I still listen to some 80's from time to time. Kiss still rocks. Sometimes, when I'm in the mood haha. Do you remember Falco? Always fun to play 'Amadeus' at a party :D


    And you can never go wrong playing some Neil Young at a jam session...then again Neil was never part of the 80's rock wave.

    falco YES! lmao. and i still love kiss. i'm also a prince fan. the old prince. and of course ac/dc. lol i haven't heard falco in ages:)

    God Prince is great. I think he ruined a bit of his career, playing 'Purple Rain'. He's got so great songs, but most of me mates remember him for that song and don't realize how brilliant he actually is.

    I actually like his last album, too.

    Did you drink the same shit you used to drink at parties back then? We used to have huge canisters with cola/red wine. That shit was horrible, but we used to drink it till we dropped.
    And of course good old Jack/cola...I'll never forget those.

    lol, god noooo. i'd be hurtin for a week if i did. i used to drink vodka and grape juice. apparently called brown cow. one year i'm sure i was 16 or something, got myself a mickey of vodka and i dumped the kool aid powder into the mickey. i was drinkin purple vodka. straight lol. heeelllooooo. lol. lots of people with purple stained lips walkin around that nite lol. i used to buy coolers. the kind that was in a 2 litre bottle. and some strawberry angel wine. i think thats what it's called. rye and coke was a biggie for me. but over the years i learned it doesn't really work well for me lol. now i'm a gin drinker. gin and tonic with lime;)

    God, I can't drink like back then any more, either. I still drink my beer, but I'm way more picky nowadays. I sometimes even avoid certain pubs because they serve the wrong lager.

    And I love GT, too. Do you have kricket in Canada? I'd love to just act like an old english lord at a cricket game, getting pissed and pretending to follow the game :D

    GT? i've never heard of it. i don't think krickets' really big here. i don't know anyone who plays it here. more golf and hockey here. i've never played golf, but i'd like to try it. i'm not a big drinker anymore. just smoke more of the herb than anything;)

    how could ya forget about the roach clips with the feathers on em lmao! i even found some. i couldn't believe it. it was in my hair by the end of the nite lol;)

    Never had those roach clips. I'm from Europe, we use cardboard roaches. But I do remember the way we used to smoke...with the hands forming a ball, the joint in one end and sucking in the air between the thumbs lol.
