  1. Ok i got into an accident the other day so im buying a new car. both asking prices are $2000, both owned by mechanics.

The 1998 s10, body is alright, has some dings on the door. The engine was rebuilt and has 80k on it. the body has 210k. Tranny was rebuilt and has 20k miles on it. its a 2.2 4 cylinder.

The second car is a 1998 camaro v6, engine was pulled from a wrecked car that had 31k miles on it and has put around 10k on it since then. I believe it has the original transmission so it has around 100k on both the body/transmission.

Another big factor in this is that I am using the car/truck for pizza delivery.

  2. I would definetly side with the truck. Much more practical/ fuel efficient.
The camaro sounds like it'll hold up better however.
I would get the truck and keep that engine perfectly maintaned.
fuck i'm kinda torn now that I think about it more. With the truck having 200+k miles on the chassis you're bound to be replacing things like shocks, bushing, bearings, repairing rust, and others.

I'd probably still go with the truck though. (biased against camaros)

  3. no offense but i just wouldnt go with an old american car in this day and age. but thats just me.

for 2k, theres nothing wrong with a pizza delivery civic(though i hate em). but for practical purposes, its reliable and good on gas.

but if you had to choose, i'd go with the 2.2. im biased against v6 camaros after seeing what my friend went through.

  4. I'd say the s10 just because it's probable that you'd have to pay out the ass to insure the Camaro (it's just what I've heard as I've never owned a sports car).

  5. Go with a Honda imo American car company's do not make reliable fuel injected cars if your going American go carburated lol.
