Hello All, This is my first grow journal wooo woo!!..So hopefully you will find this useful, or maybe you might be able to help me out.. I will try and post as often as possible aswell.. but no promises. My current set up is in a walk closet about 6x5.5x9. I am running 2 x 400watt HPS air cooled lights, An AC unit , Carbon Filter, with an exhaust fan. Under the 800watts I am growing 16 plants (clones) all together, I have 5 Bubba, 5 Geisel(G13xSourDiesel), 6 DUD (Double Under Dog..Its Chemdawg And Afghan I think ill have to check.. correct me if im wrong, please.) Its in an apartment building so i didnt really wanna make holes in the walls so, i used alot of rope and good ol duct tape to support the lights and the rest of the shit... and we sawed the door in half for ventilation.. Its been exactly 2 weeks since ive started the grow.. I put them in soil on New Years Eve During the day.. I wrote 1/31/10 as the date on the stickers.. but i was high so dont mind that.. i meant to write 12/31/09.. So In the room Prior to setting up i wiped it down with disinfectant and all that jazz.. I laid some plastic and taped it around the edges of the floor, and on top of that i laid some blue tarp.. then duct taped the shit out of it. all around the edges.. By the way, that Gorilla Duct Tape is thee business!! a roll is like 10 bucks but hella worth it.. I also place mylar around the room for better light distribution.. and duct taped the shit outta that aswell.. Here are some pics of the set up.this is about a month ago.. we started laying and moving all the stuff in before i got the clones.. I got 21 clones some were LAPK And Some Pure Indica but i didnt have enough room nor the lights to support them so i had to let them go.. I recieved them in a Coors Light 18 pack box... All The shit im using.. For Veg im using this nutrient By Advanced Nutrients called Organic Iguana Juice Grow. 3-1-3.. It smells fuckin HORRIBLE!! like straight ASS!! its fuckin bad.. but the babies like it.. theyve been showing good progress.. I paid 40 bucks for it but dude.. it smells like ass.. For floweing i will be using Flora Nova Bloom By General Hydroponics.. I used that in my last grow.. works well and relativley cheap.. i think i paid like 25-35 bucks.. Im also gonna either use the Fox Farm Grow big, or this powder that was recommended to me by the grow shop called Monster Bloom By Grotek.. Anyone ever use that before? And when exactly do i start giving it to them.. this has always confused me.. help would be appreciated.. anywho heres a few pics of my nutrients.. Iguana Juice (fuckin Ass juice) Flora Nova. The rest For soil im using something new.. i was told about this soil less aeration type soil, like a week before i started and decided to use it.. so far so good Its called Ready Gro By Botanicare Its Coco Coir, And Perlite and very little organic compost.. I used to use a mixture of light warrior and ocean forest but i thought i would give this a try..and im digging it.. i got the formula where u only need to water it once a day.. i think theres one that needs like3=4 watering a day..fuuuck that.. once a day is hard enough.. the pics came out kinda blurry.. i apologize.. I filled 15, 3 gallon pots and i used 2 bags.. I will Continue the rest tomoro.. i will upload the rest of my pics and prgress.. Its late and im sleepy.. =)
whats up ..i got the same food the flora nova bloom and the monster bloom some say you can mix it all together its one teaspoon for eery 6 gallons ...and the nova bloom is 3 tsp for every gallon just get a big bucket mix the foods and find a way to feed them ...i use a five gallon bucket its easier to mix the food in ther i think ....its recomened the floraliciouse for nutes ....i got that to ....but my setup a lil crazzier than urs ...im 25 days info flowering theres nugs everywere ....the bloom works instant when you feed the plants it makes the leaves and hairs turn puple.....crazzy on my profile i got some pics of my setup but last months ...need to update pic..
Good Day All.. It was hella late when i started this.. but i got some time today so ill finish where i left off last night... So like i said i filled 15 3gallon buckets with the Ready Gro... I Put the clones in the soil on 12/31/09.. at first it took them a little and they werent looking super healthy, but they werent dying either,they looked kinda droopy and depressed, this part of the grow always scares me.. but like usual they pulled through.. =) 12/31/01 I left them under one light only, for about 2 weeks, letting them recover/adapt to their new homes, i didnt wanna burn them, and i wanted to ease them into the intensity of the HPS's .. so i left them for the last 2 weeks under 400watts.. this is about 1/05/10 1/07/10 they were looking better.. And these are the most recent.. Ive been feeding these bad mamajama's everyother day, and watering them everyday. This is 15 days into the ghetto grow.. 1/15/10 I know its not recommended to put 2 plants in one pot.. but because of space issues, i planted 2 Giesel's in one.. this is a pic of it 15 days into it.. Playin some tunes for the babies with the laptop =) And this is where i am at.. ill update as soon as i see some progress.. Thanks for checking it out..
looks good ...what are you planning on doing when they start flowering a scrog or something cus with those lights you should get a big yeild so youl need stem support...im thinkging of pooting one for mine..

Very nice, I'm thinking of doing a similar setup but I will use to closets. Mind me asking how much all the supplies cost you, not including the seeds? Just a rough estimate, I'm in the planning stages of my set up, but I'm not sure if a will be able to afford a set-up similar to yours on my budget. looks like you certainly did the thing right. i just looked through you're series of photos and you've got it all- everything that you need to succeed. i will definitely be watching.

I dont think i have the space for a scrog grow.. i was actually looking into it and i was gonna use that method but it would be extremeley hard to care for the plants.. I think im gonna use some sticks and use thread to tie them to the plants for support.. If i had the space i would.. i hear it gets really good yields.. it has its pro's and its cons.. Haha dude... its pretty ghetto.. i have a dish with water in there for humidity, no PH tester, i use tap water ( i let sit for 24hrs tho), no thermometer, and i sawed half the closet door..ill get pics of all that soon.. & i used a shit load of duct tape and rope.. but it was so i wouldnt make holes.. its working out pretty well though cant complain..thanks for the kind words, and i appreciate the rep man.. I dont mind at all.. as ghetto as it is.. i paid alot of dough for it.. i must admit i got hustled when i bought my shit cause i was a beginner and the slick talkin trixters at the hydro shop could smell it.. I paid around 1800 for 2 cool tubes 2 400 watt HPS hortilux bulbs 2 sun system ballasts, a carbon filter, exhaust fan, a roll of mylar, and these things that attach to the lights to lower and raise'em..1800 just for that.. and it wasnt including the soil, pots,nutrients, building material like nails, screws, the ducting, tape, AC, and the little shit here and there.. which in total came out to be around 2300.. And to get this grow started i had to get new soil, new pots, veg nutrients, building material, and clones.. to get it going ive spent about 450.. but its all profit after 2 gorws.. i highly suggest you try it out.. Hey thanks fellas.. GoodCat.. Its an AC im not using so i sat the Carbon filter and exhaust fan on top.. the AC in use is half in and half out the grow room..which is why i cut the closet door in half .. ill get pics of it today.. i have to go water them later, so yeah... This is my second grow so i try not to have expectations, I grew 9 plants in my last one, with only the flora bloom and the soil mix i mentioned in the earlier post. i only harvested 8 cause one of them had buds that werent dens at all and i didnt wanna sell it..i was kinda self conscious about it.. does that happen to you guys? or do you guys just push it out regardless??. it was the best smelling one tho..but whatever.. i managed to pull a half pound outta 8.. around an oz. per plant.. but ive studied my ass off and took notes from my last grow .. so hopefully i get no less than a pound.. but i try not to have expectations.. some say done right i can pull close to 2 oz.. but if i got the pound ill be more than happy.. Hello again people.. So i got some pics of the feeding and some budporn.. and another video that shows the whole room.. Im also having some issues that i need help with.. ill post the problems at the very bottom with some pics.. the vid takes awhile to upload so ill post it as soon as its uploaded in an hour or so.. Here are some pics of the sun system galaxy ballasts and AC.. i didnt include them in the last posts so here they are.. This is 1/17/10 the pic of the sawed in half door.. not very stealthy..but were within the law and doing it legally so we doooont give a fuuuuuck!! I feed them everyother day.. 3tsp per gallon (looks like 2/12 in the pic but its cause its tilted) the girls after 2 days..some noticeable progress.. Heres my problem... I posted in sick plants sections too.. i was high admiring my babies, and i noticed little spots/holes, they are kinda yellowing, like its a nute problem but it could very well be an insect problem.. its only on a couple plants and leaves and it hasnthttp://forum.grasscity.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=6523442 spread, so im trying to figure out what it is before it does.. some help would be greatly appreciated.. heres some pics. some help would be hella nice.. thanks for checking it out
wouldnt that bring other problems into the mix? or would it be an easy solution.. ive already sprayed a little insecticide(safe for food consumption obviously,FDA approved) so ill see what happens in the next few day.. but would the ladybugs be a safe route?
No problems that I'm aware of. Several growers here on GC keep a few in their grow rooms because the feed on bugs smaller than they are.
looks like a good grow dude! (just a heads up i noticed you mentioned about selling & 'pushing it out' their very strict on u not talking about that shit on here, gets u banned quick! & plus most growers ere are personal & medical) the ladybugs are good to use they dont effect ur plants in any way they just munch all the little bugs like mites & shit, the only problem with them is they fly into the HPS bulbs & explode lol, but as u got cool tubes you could be alright, you can usually buy them at garden stores Keep up the good work dude!
