Effect of Prolonged Photoperiod on Light-Dependent Photosynthetic Reactions in Cannabis a recent lab report suggested that hemp requires a min 16/8 hours sleep quote: The most beneficial condition was the 16/8 photoperiod, regardless of the light type since it brought the most efficient physiological response and the lowest TBARS contents suggesting the lowest level of thylakoid membrane damage. For weeks I've been fading out my photos in favor of autoflowering strains, does that allow me to avoid giving my plants 'sleep' in order to function correctly? I suggest not, I've always given my plants autos or photos a min of 20/4, tho autos function well in climes of no dark ei Siberia even Alaska for months at a time, sleep of some sort is a must, so I'll continue giving my autos 20/4, at least until a lab report appears advising me otherwise
I keep my Auto Northern Lights on an 18/6 schedule permanently, just like I used to Veg Photo plants at. I like to give my plants some sleep, too.
Autos I run 20/4. On a side note, I did 6:2 (day/night) before with photosensitive plants and they liked it !
someplace up in the latitudes like Siberia -Alaska their must be a time zone where you get 20 hours daylight a day perhaps late fall? so I'd be adding more red light to my grow, to simulate them days plus the added UV naturally ....lol I'm still getting used to leds
Still 24/0. I haven't tried much but scrog and lst. I gotta get the plants up higher. Too tough on the old back.
idk, I used 20/4 last plant here and she got really big. She was already throwing pistils again because of too much light, but that's more intensity than day length. Its looking very nice. I hear you about back pain and crouching. I added a few short tables this year and really like it, especially when using DTW type systems. btw that plant is looking near done
