76x76x76 tent 3x600w ventilation question

  1. hello, i am going to be setting up a tent for growing tomato's. I have 3 600w lights with easycool reflectors. I am planning on connecting all 3 lights up with a 6'' 424cfm fan. And venting them through my heater duct on my ceiling. Then puting a fan in my window to bring in fresh air. For one, is this enough cfm for this size grow tent and the 3 lights? And if it is my other question is.. my duct on my ceiling is only about 4 inches so the 6'' fan would be venting into a 4 inch duct. If the fact that the duct is smaller is a problem i need some ideas on venting my heat from the lights out of the room without people seeing inside my window. Pls any input is good!

  2. The 4" ducting will drop your CFM's but your fan is strong enough to still do the job. Remember with numerous bends, or running it through a carbon filter you'll drop your CFMs due to back pressure.

  3. is that 76"x76"x76"?

  4. yea, 6.3ft. So you think even with the drop in cfms my room wont get too hot? Or would it be better just to vent into my bedroom where the tent is with a fan in the window to keep fresh air in my room.

  5. dude your fan is good. you only need 216cfm for that room. you should be in good shape as long as you don't put many bends in the ducting.
