I may or may not keep this diary running depending on if there is much interest in it. As some of you are aware I can't currently grow at mine due to a Facebook incident, so this is a joint venture between me and a friend. Basically, he is letting me grow at his, providing I use my stealth cab and I do all the work. He had never grown so its a learning thing for him. The plant is a FEMALE SEEDS 'BUBBLEGUMMER'. It's in a small 26"x14"x14" micro cab and is lit by a 70w hps. Extraction is a über powerful (but totally silent) 60mm pc fan through a custom built micro carbon scrubber. This can is tried and tested and has in the past got me allmost 1.5 oz dry weight from a grow (but I put a lot of that down to good plant genetics). I expect to get about 1oz dry weight from this. I call this my 'round the world lst'. Basically the aim is to lst the plant round the outside of the large (but very shallow) pot and bend all of the side branches into the middle. Once the pot is full you simply flip to 12/12 and you should have 7-15 flowering tops all about the same size but no taller than about 4". As this is only a 70 w hps (with an 80mm pc fan blowing across the bulb) you can get it almost touching the plant to make use of as much lumens as possible. Sorry about the quality of the pics. It's just how they come out after going through my text editor.
I have a good feeling about this one as I can allready see a lot of side shoots. if it does well I will probably leave one of the branches on when finished to get some bananas and get some female pollen for future crossed. I wouldn't mind crossing this with an ak47. Time will tell. You will see the yellow on the bottom set of leaves as I used soil that had sat unused in a pot outside and had its nutes washed out. So the first couple of sets of leaves had nute deficiency. Sorted now.
Ok. I will probably only update every couple of weeks. Do you have a dual hps /mh ballast or are you doing the whole grow with a mh??
Got flipped at day 32 yesterday. We flipped it earlyer than planned as we have never grown a bubblegummer in a microgrow so are unsure what the stretch will be like. So this is now more of an experiment into the stretch rather than yield quantity.
Day 35. Quite a few main bud sites now and a few more they may or may not become good bud sites, it just depends on the stretch.
Day 41. I have added a bit of a screen type thing just to get things to stay where I want them. There is about 12 main tops now. No more lst for this I will not just let it grow up.

No buds yet. Between flip and pistols showing. I think there isn't much interest as not a lot of people care what you can get with a 70w hps. I will stop this thread and post a completed one in the micro grow section when I'm all done.
just my 2 cents, I am actually interested in the progression of this thread. You usually dont get a lot of hits here on GC until people see some crazy things or bud shots. Veg growth is boring and pretty standard accross the board. Stick it out man!
Ok you lot are probably right. I will stick it out and post some pics when its into flowering. Here is where it is today. Day 41. Also it's a little difficult to get pics for this grow as its not at my house due to security issues. Basically I have given a friend my old grow cab and as he is a complete beginner I am doing this grow for him so he can see how to do a plant using severe lst. He will split the buds with me.
Day 48 update. 16 days since 12/12. A few pistols starting to show now. There are 11 good tops and 2 smaller ones.
Lookin nice, you are going to get a nice yield from that little plant, good lsting. Make sure you let it flowr a little longer than the breeder pack says since those things are geared for higher intensity HID's.
Yeahs know what your saying, I never even read the breeders flowering time. I just harvest when the trics are about 20-50% amber (depending on how much couchlock I want) I hope it yields an oz dry weight. That's roughly what I normally get from this cab but I have never grown bubblgumer before so who knows?? But I'm impressed so far, seems to deal with high temps very well. I do know its the most stinky plant I have ever smelt while still veging ( a lot worse than the blue cheese I grew a few years ago).
The female seeds bubblegummer is the stinkiest plant I ever grew. Wait until that baby is in full flower, you will need some serious odor control. I had a carbon filter and 2 bottles of ONA gell in my tent and you could still smell it slightly, good luck!
