  1. Hello all,

I'm new to the forums and fairly new to the herb. I started about 2+ months ago, been blazing every day ever since. I've smoked granddaddy purple, purple kush, blue kush, orange kush, silver haze, and sour diezel, chronic, as well as some other high-to-mid grade stuff. Uniquely, I find that granddaddy purple doesn't burn the throat at all. I assume it's probably normal to divulge a bit of how the initial experience went, so here goes: the first time I ever smoked, I felt an intense love for everything and everyone. It was so transcendental that I couldn't help but kiss the person beside me (literally). All of my sensory experiences were enhanced. At first, my heart began to beat quite fast and my throat was burned; the confines of my head felt very full. Music sounded incredible and I remember one song in particular because I mistook it for Evanescence, 'Til Summer Comes Around by Keith Urban. My friends all laughed at my mistake, of course. :p
Food is the most incredible thing while your high, just like every other stoner has experienced. If you ever have a chance, go to Red Lobster while baked.
Quite recently, I wrote a 5 page philosophy paper while high and made an A. It's amazing how it can act almost as a lubricant or stimulant for your mind; I can write incredible things while high. Amazingly, I didn't even edit while sober (which I was afraid would have been a mistake) but it turned out great and my instructor loved it. Any similar stories?

(On a side note, what are your favorite strains?)

    Love love,
    ~Lisa

  2. Haha Red Lobster classic, Ive never been but it looks greasy / good.

Ive never been the biggest purple guy, I like me a strong potent smelling indica.

    Fav strain: Skywalker !

    Welcome to GC!!

  3. Thanks for the welcome!

Although I enjoy indica, I wish there were more Sativa's available where I'm at.

  4. Whoa hey, you sound pretty experienced already! Welcome to the site, my friend.

Ha! Don't you just love how a quick buzz can boost that creativity of ours? Loved the bit on the philosophy paper. Reminds me of the time when I had to write my college application essay. Toked it up, spent about two hours on it, and was accepted shortly after.

Pleasure to meet you! Take care.:smoke:

  5. Hello, im new here myself, my favorite strains are anything purple. haha. Not only is it my favorite color, but i seem to have better highs smoking purple strains. I like chinese/japanese a lot when im blazed. :p

  6. High Lisa :)

I can relate to pretty much everything you said here. My first experiences were exactly the same pretty much. Enhanced senses in all areas. You just love everyone and everything around you. Also the whole food thing, I have made soooo many strange and unusual food items while I have been stoned.

I have also met so many new great friends in the past year just through weed and I have gotten to know so many other wonderful people a lot better.

Also.... philosophy is one of the few subjects where weed actually will help you perform A LOT better! Your creativity in the way you think is so much higher. Art, psychology, sociology are other subjects where being high will help you perform better.

  7. welcome to GC Lisa

why wasnt I smoking that shit within a few months of starting!? hahaha you got it made girl. Glad to hear the herb is treatin you so well :)

My fav strains gotta be purple wreck..... gotta love some dank purp nugget in ya bowl :yummy:

  8. I've just been blessed with a great guy friend. :) He's pampered me with all different strains. But I completely agree, it's great for writing on abstract concepts while high.

When you say "anything purple" are all purple strains good? (I realize "good" is subjective, so I mean... does anything purple generally get you super high?) I've heard differently.

I've met a lot of people through it as well. The mellow feeling and its tendency to cause you to talk quite a bit has allowed me to get to know a lot of people; it kind of makes you vulnerable, emotionally that is. I've noticed when I'm high, I get very touchy-feely with my guyfriend and emotional sometimes... That's probably just the marijuana intensifying any emotion I have. :p
