Is it normal for plants over 2 months old not to show sex? Flipped it to 12-12 four days ago. Should I be worried or just give it some more time? Sent from my SM-G955F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Looks like a sativa dominate strain..4 days from 12/12 is not very long..it can take up to 2 weeks to start really flowering...have you tried turning the lights off for a day to push the flowering hormones? Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
No since this is my first grow I never knew I could do that. So you think I should do that or give it another week to see what happens? Sent from my SM-G955F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You’re looking in the right place of the plant (node where the branch comes out) but you should always look at newer growth as it will be where you see the preflowers. My new grow
While I don't agree with the Sativa dominant assessment (nodes too tightly clustered), many strains are mixed with the individual plants still governed by light cycles. As a rule I try for two full months on long hours to allow enough vegetation to carry the weight of my dreams. During this time they go through three successive container upgrades which I believe helps stimulate root development. The first pic is my most impressive effort running under a floating screen beneath 5 separate LEDs totaling 900w (about a third of that from the wall). Second is a clone of the first running under a much more modest configuration of 3 units at only 250w, and the third is yet another clone of the first in a cabinet with two 100w COB fixtures (running about 65w each). The stretch evident in the first two doesn't seem to be in the cards for the third. As to your baby, it's green and healthy so all it needs is time.
