Right now I got some seeds growin I have been using long soft white fluorescent tubes. I had a few extra pots so I put them under a 65 watt flood light that says its like natural light do you think this will work?
flood lights produce or give off ALOT of heat so idk so much about tht 1 buttt just go to a home depot or lowes and gab a couple 65w CFL's
yes soft white is better for flowering but check my grow out all with 4 ( 65w soft white CFL's ) so it can be done lol but yeah flood lights are a no no if trying to grow lol to hot! http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/351226-my-1st-grow-pix-ill-take-any-advice.html
If you're talking about those "work lights" which are halogen bulbs, no, those don't produce the right spectrum. You're better off getting some CFLs in there, your plants will love you for it.
