I’ve been using to 2x 320w LEDs at 100% - as both are dimmable, but that was only useful during the veg stage, right now I have them both set to 100% as all grow light providers with dimmers suggest during bloom, anyhow, my temperatures are only about 84° Fahrenheit, humidity at about 50.. I was wondering if adding a pair of Cree CXB 3590 cobs that I have ( on a seperate timer n turn time those to come in for 6-8 hr period during lights on) me and my buddy are doing this pretty much on a farmhouse with a horse stable and lots of stuff, etc. So it’s not like electricity use is an issue. Besides, the whole agreement was that that was gonna be his end of the deal lol. But anyhow, I feel like adding more Light can only help right? As long as I keep it under a temperature where I would need CO2, I don’t see how it could not benefit especially while running a SCROG — so better penetration would just mean less airy buds…Anybody want to throw in two cents here??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I have plenty of room and weight capacity to hang this unit which is very light to begin with .. it’s essentially 2 50watt Cree CXB3590 COBs that I DIYd a housing unit for.. I stuck it them some in rectangle made of angle iron It’s hanging right here
You don't need to use 100% and then pull the lights right up. This doesn't make sense. You have a level canopy, so take advantage of the LED dimmer by bringing the lights closer to the canopy and turn the power down. Adding supplemental lighting will benefit the plants. I've used strips along the sides, and I've seen people place boards under the canopy as well. I own a thicker plastic trellis that I was going to mount with small 10W leds; I ordered some but the guy sent me 50W leds and I can't/won't use them. You can imagine this would be an optimal trellis You can see in this picture how I've used some LED strips along the side. I prefer doing this during my grows.
how far away are those lights man from the picture it looks like 3 feet lol drop them suckers and you wont really need extra light it will only cause heat
you can put some led strips under the canopy shining up at the lowers i do that it does help but you have the tops covered already i keep my hps aroud 14 inches above and it is 1320 true watts on the highest setting
You need to get a Dr lux meter and lower them lights down to about 16 inches and set the light power to be around 60.000 lux which is plenty of light for flowering and not have to max out your lights.
Lol it is taken from a low wide angle that pic. I just wanted to get all the tent in one picture so I stood way back and use the wide-angle. It’s only about 30 inches above the canopy. I was going to start bringing them down now that I’m 2 weeks into bloom. This is my first time using the bar style LED so jusyt have to find the sweet spot n right intensity setting
The one unfortunate thing - is that the back Aglex m320 light doesn’t dim. - I mean at least it won’t if I want to keep the driver mound it outside - for some reason you need a separate cord to set to this thing if you want to mount outside AND use the dimmer I brougt the other down and turn the intensity down. See how that works. I have a separate timer I’m going to see if I have enough room to mount my other Cree COBs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got in touch with the one company Aglex they make the light that is in the back. I have the driver mounted outside with a seperate extension cable they sell, the only thing is when you have that extension cable you don’t have an extension cable for the dimmer switch as well, that also needs to be attached to the driver.. she sending me something that attaches to this , it essentially adds a dimmer switch function Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
