the room is 3ft wide, about 18inches deep and about 4 feet high and its completely lined in aluminum foil. edit: the description says "Full daylight spectrum incandescent grow bulb"
I am unsure as to whether or not those are suitable for growing . . . I think it would be better to invest in some fluoros or a small 70 watt hps. and the foil is useless from what I've gathered. All it does is up the temps in the area without putting out enough reflectivity to make a difference. It's more of a fire hazard than a help.
doesnt alluminum foil create hot spots?, IE light reflections that work like a magnafying glass on an ant in the hot sun..? if so... make sure its not the shiny side facing up
I had foil on one of my wall surfaces for the first week of my current grow. When I put up a white wall instead it was far more effective at reflecting light and the plants responded with a slight increase in vigor from what I saw.
Read the lighting guide in my sig. The incandescent spotlight, in spite of being called a grow bulb, is not particularly good for growing. It converts too much of its energy consumption into heat rather than light. As for the 65w CFL, is that actual watts or equivalent/replacement watts? And what is the spectrum?
