Hi, Fellow growers I have been researching on GC Fourms for some time now (1-2 Years) and just want to say THANK YOU for the information that you guys have provided here, It has helped me quite a bit with how i was going to grow my first crop. Ok now thats out of the way time to tell you about my set-up. What i have now: 1 x 3x3 SCROG screen 1 x 5 Ft T12 Lamp (2 Globes 40 Watt Each) 1 x 600 watt powerplant magnetic ballest 1 x 600 watt HPS Globe 1 x Air Cooled Hood 1 x 150mm Can-Fan (Out-Take) 1 x Carbon Filter 1 x 4 way air pump 2 x Bubble buckets (Water level 10L per bucket) 4 x Air stones 1 x 2400x1200x2000 SeaHawk Tent 1 x Pedastal fan 1 x 100mm Inline fan (Intake) Nutrients: Canna Classic a+b (Veg and Flower)(I had no idea Aqua existed) RHIZOTONIC CANNABOOST What i will be getting through the grow: 1 x 125-150mm Can fan (Air Intake) 1 x Slim-line fan 1 x Pedastal fan What i will be getting for the next grow if all goes well (Other side of Tent): 1 x 600 watt powerplant magnetic ballest 1 x 600 watt HPS Globe 1 x Air Cooled Hood 1 x 150mm Can-Fan 1 x Carbon Filter 1 x 4 way air pump 2 x Bubble buckets 4 x Air stones Ok now onto the grow I ran into some problems with my first ballast (Solistek 1000w matrix Ballast with the Solistek HPS Bulb 600w and a 1000w) RF Interfearance (Crappy earth wire to main and cant put a new one in or will be mistaken for stealing power and we dont want that ) So i made a safe call and swaped to magnetic untill i can move. Started with taking 2 clones form a mates female (May not work with the SCROG method looked a little on the bonsi side but i can just remove the screen if necessary) I put the clones in the Dome on the 19th of Feb, First roots were spotted on the 28th and transplanted to the net pots on the 1st of March. I have been using the T12 Lamp for that phase and have just started introducing the 600 watt HPS in 2 Hour increments per day. Current environment values: Light:18/6 PH: 5.5 (Drifting to 6.0) PPM:485 Both buckets (20ml RHIZOTONIC per bucket + 10ml Canna Veg a+b) Water Temp: 71F Room Temp: 74F with T12 - 86-91F with HID RH:60-70 T12 - 50-60 HID That's where i'm at the moment i still need to improve on my temps, For water i was thinking ice packs and room temp will drop once i get my box made for my air intake which will be done soon and can-fan for the intake any suggestions on venting out the air the entire room heats up when the HID's on might have to swap the in-take and out-take and then watch the magic happen Fist pic In-take Second pic Out-Take All Advice is welcome and would be much appreciated.
Have you considered something less intense than an HID? That might help with your heat issue especially with just the 2 clones under there. Edit: I would definitely stay with that T12. Especially with the heat I'd think the HID was over kill. I've always used T5's and love them.
