What's your outside the tent temp? Air cooled hood?
Around 65 Nd im going out to buy a reflector this weekend, will more than likely be air cooled
Invest the extra $ for an air cooled. It will save you some headache! I suggest some ducting and a fan and that would fix any heat issues. When I had my tent outside in the garage it would run ~80 in there at night when the light was on. But during the summer that bitch hit over 100 a handful of times during the day with my light off. My suggestion is buy the cooled hood, set it all up, do a dry run to see what temps are and go from there bud. Good luck
Air cooled hood with a 400+ cfm fan will be essential in a tent that small, so scrap the "more than likely" and trade it up for a "definitely" in that department. You cant run high wattage HID lights bare-bulb in small tents, your temps would get into the 90's and 100's in no time
Will depend on the brand, check the specs. I would think somewhere in the 100-200W range.
Oh right on thats awesome then, i thought itd be way higher How loud are they??
You're going to want a speed control, they're like $20 and you can turn it down quite a bit since you're in a 3x3. Sounds like small industrial fan running, ya know the heavy duty metal ones. Nothing too bad, especially after an adjuster added to one.
Very nice. So you'll be keeping your air-cooled hood sealed off from your grow area. 2 vent fans, one 4" for your hood and one 6" with a carbon filter for your grow space. Should be 5f or so above ambient temps.
That should be fine i cooled mine with a 4"..might not be enough on real hot days though..my temps stay 75-80
awesome thanks for the reassurance mate im in ny so theres no such thing as a hot day ahah not for the next few months anyway
yezzir gonna be alota dollars but will be well worth the investment gonna need your help with settin up the carbon filter when i get it, i have zero knowledge in that department
still waitin on another fan nd the filter but i started flowering yesterday with just a 165 cfm ducted to the reflector nd temps hit 87-90 think thats sustainable for the first week until i have loot for another fan?
That's harmfully hot but if you can't help it for now water and mist should get you by good luck Sent from iPhone 5
