this is my very first grow.. i have a 6x5 mylar grow tent with 2 600 watt lights a MH and a HPS. and i threw the long flourescant in for kicks.. not even sure if its helping ?? anyway.. i planted 10 white widow and 5 cantelope kush's and then i planted 2 " regular ole" seeds... the 2 regular ones are the only 2 that made < go figure>.. but anyway this is week 8.. i think i over waterd them in the beginning and some of the leaves turned on the ends but there starting to look alot better.. so tell me what you guys think... dont be to harsh
Trimmed a few of the old burnt leaves off today.. both are starting to develop some awesome under growth i guess you would call it.. im pretty much just keeping the leaves trimmed up every week or so.. here i a pic of each plant i dunno if there starting to show sex yet..
Hey tyrell congratz on starting ur first grow, a few critiques...first off your light need to be muuuuuch closer, those plants are REALLY stretched the node spacing is enormous, second do you have a good system to circulate air cuz thts a must, third, you should give us a description of your germination process so we can raise that success rate. Also what type of soil is, oh and I forgot, if you are only doing those two plants id only use 1 600w 2 is a waste
I would start over... No need to trim anything, unless your topping. Get rid of that mirror and stop using that automatic glass watering tool, it overwaters marijuana plants
and if i move my lights much closer it will burn my plants.. i dont have a glass hood thing... i only have 2 flash wings

Not good man an hps that far away defeats the purpose of the light, honestly a few cfls that are correctly distanced from the plant would give better results at this point
ok well i dropped my lights down and i angled the fan where it blows across the tops of the two plants to keep the heat kinda blown away.. i have 2 600 watt lights.. a MH and a HPS... got my thermometer down there to see how hot it gets after about 30 miutes... will update shortly update.. temp is decent i guess.. distance from bulb to top is 15 inches... that should be okay right ?
well i flushed out both plants this morning about 2 hours after lights on...then while they werent in the room i laid 2 2x4's on the floor s and stapled bisqeeun to them at an angle.. now when my plants drain it will run to one end and be caught in the towel that i can change out when needed. I moved my lights even closer and changed their hangers to pieces of flexible wire.. much more sturdy.. I tied a towel up at 6 difefrent points and now it catches the air coming from the intake and blows it down over my lights.. dropped temp in room about 10 degrees... much better.... i have a MH and and HPS literally 6-8 inches from the tops of my two plants.. I angled the humidifier to blow cold air across one light and over to the next one and up threw the exhaust.. its pretty neat actually.. ill post more pics in a lil bit to show the new setup.. gonna keep an eye on the temp though just to make sure it doesnt get to hot..
