600 Watt HPS MH dual Arc

  1. Hello - I’m struggling with heat. I have a 600 watt HPS MH cool lamp light. At 100% it runs 82 83 degrees. I dim it to 75% using the ballast and I’m in the money spot around 75 78 degrees. Is 75% going to be a big reduction in growth?

  2. yes the yield would be different quality lights claim 1 - 2.5 grams a watt. flower you would see a difference during vegetative growth not so much

  3. 82 aint super bad u damn sure dont wanna go over that to much....best bet swoop second light then dim just my 2cents id dim now and run plants longer if need be but shouldnt be a big difference to be concerned with if its just personal smoke anyway

where are you ventilating your air? outside of tent or outside of room? inside with central heat and air you shouldnt be 82 83 with good ventilation. i live in the desert it was 102 today itll be 115 to 120 when i crank up the power to 75% to 100% and i still stay under 81. i do run duct from my a/c vent to the bottom port hole of my tent then have my osculating fan in front of that pushing cool air throughout the tent. also running at night and having dark period during peak heat helps

i do run leds tho so thats probably why i can stay under that temp my bad you may just need to drop it to 75% as mentioned above

  5. currently, I have a 6 inch Ac infinity pulling exhaust air through the light lamp to cool it down. That’s at full power minus one. That’s exhausting out of the tent, into the ducting and out of the room. I have a 4 inch in-line fan bringing in cool air from the hallway. I have both bottom vents open. My temp is at 81F and humidity 53% with a humidifier in there.

  9. Have you tried exhausting back into the same room. You might be loosing cold air out the exhaust.

  10. Run at night when it’s cooler and vent in cool outdoor air. And you might try LED. I am going to try out one myself that I found on Amazon for a stupidly low, irresistibly low price, $96.99

2000W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum, Plant Grow Light with Veg and Bloom Switch for Hydroponic Indoor Plants KOSCHEAL LED Grow Lamp with Daisy Chain

  11. Throw that hps dual ark into the trash
This bulb is costing you 40 % yield already. Junk. I know you may have payed good money for it . sorry !
Buy a hps bulb and flower with it . That dual ark is trash for flower .
If you have a 6 inch fan inside the tent blowing into the light and its shooting out of the tent .
There is zero need for a fan pulling air into the tent . OK Here is what i want to ask.
Does the tent have a vent on the bottom ? Cold air sucked in from the bottom . Cut a vent to 6 inchs You need a 6 inch hole if you have 6 inch fans . This will keep the tent cool. You may cut two holes . if needed .
If not then your tent is different then every other tent in the world after you cut a 6 inch hole and its not cool.
To keep the light out of the tent get a 6 inch flex ducting . Run it outside of the tent wrap it around a bit around the tent make the hole face down so light cant get in . Your main room gets hot well yes it will. Open a window ? Run ac .

  12. I live in a double wide mobile home. There is not much airflow. It’s in a bedroom with an eight foot ceiling. I have to pull in fresh air through a 4inch to keep good airflow or it gets to hot in there without the 6 inch sucking the light out and 4 inch blowing in and a oscillating fan inside and both vents open. I have an AC in the window at full (it’s older) but is on an automatic temp switch off/on.

  13. I just figured for my first run I would use a tent kit and learn. This is what I got with it. I plan on going to LED after these first plants.
