6/6/6/6 light schedule?

  1. Is it possible to grow a plant under a 6/6/6/6 light schedule - 6hr on, 6 hr off, etc.? I've heard of some odd light schedules and was wondering if this would work.

  2. no cuz the son of the devil will be mad.

  3. why the fuck would you want 2?

  4. essentially its still 12on/12off.. if u do it like 6on/6off/6on/6off you will create more wear and tear on the ballast. I say just leave it on 12/12.

  5. well, your all right, sort of. if you do use hid lighting that would wreak havoc on your ballast. also i had sortof the same idea last summer, and everybody that i spoke with about it (and i was sure to get the opinions of most of the knowledgeable people on this forum) and the mj plant needs a certain amount of consecutive hours of light/dark to get the maximum growth/development for that period. my way of thinking was that if it was possible to do this without causing major stress then you'd be able to grow a plant start to finish in 1/2 the time, but of course you'd yield way less. it's a very good idea in theory but it's just not practical with mj. i'll give you a pat on the back for thinking outside the box, though.

  6. i think it would prob. hermie on ya.....

  7. Use a 18/6 for veg and a 12/12 for flower if you don't want hermies.

  8. Bad number dude but anyways would you like to wake up for 6 hours then sleep then wake then sleep I dont think so neither would your plants treat them like like human beings then kill them when there in there prime LOL.

  9. Not true. For flower the plant needs at least 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness, you cannot split it up.

  10. i stand corrected:)..guess i was thinking from a practical sense.

  11. No, would definitely induce stress, and im not sure if you are talking about veg or flowering, but would not work for flowering.

  12. It is not just 12 cumulative hours of dark in a 24 hour period -- the extended dark triggers a hormonal reaction in the plant to sexual maturity and flowering. The extended, continual darkness signals to the plant that it is past the summer solstice and so time to get busy with sexually maturing and mating before the season ends and the grim reaper comes a'knockin.

  13. Veg gro- 24/0 or 16/8
    flower- 12/12
