High all. i was just wondering which would produce more heat. more smaller wattage bulbs or less higher wattage bulbs i.e. 6 23w bulbs or 2 65w bulbs. read kamel's cfl guide up to page 25 but it wasnt answered thanks
I'm gonna take an educated guess and say 6 23watters. I have 26w and 40w bulbs in mine and I know the powerstrips of 26w ones are always hotter than the single 40w ones hanging.
It depends on the effeciency of the bulbs and what wavelength of energy is being produced. I believe (don't quote me) in most cases that larger CFLs are more effecient. But I personally like using more little ones to get a nice even light coverage.
