  1. hahaha im amazed at how many people get this wrong, please post your answers :)

damn, i really hope the first person gets it right

    rules: no calculators

    solve for x:

    6/2(2+1)=x

  2. Order of operations, homie.

  3. The answer is 1

  4. thank you so much for being smarter than the average american...fuck ive been having an argument with a friend of mine for the last hour

  5. hahahaha my friend is convinced its 1 too, sorry bud you are very wrong

  6. ok, but its NOT in the parenthesis...so its 9

  7. I got 9. But I could just be retarded.

  8. 6/2(2+1) = x
    6/2(3) = x
    3(3) = x
    x=9

  9. Pemdas *****s that like 4th grade

  10. 9. simples. BIDMAS

    brackets first y'all. =3

    and 6/2=3

P.E.M.D.A.S. Or easily remembered as: please excuse my dear Aunt Sally

    -Parenthesis
    -Exponents
    -Multiplication
    -Division
    -Addiction
    -Subtraction

And that is the order of operations... Gotta love high math requirements for college.

So it would end up being x=9

  13. urgh reminds me of why I hate math...too many fucking rules

  14. don't you have to do the multiplication first??? as in

    6/2(2+1) = x
    6/2(3) = x
    6/6 = x
    x=1

    am I missing something?

  15. The answer is one.

  16. um x equals 6/2(2+1)

    did you mean simplify x?

  17. Wrong.

First you solve the equation inside, then the equation outside. Then you go to from left to right because multiplication and division have the same priority in the equation.

    Then you're left with 3x3.

    Which is 9.

  18. lol.. 3... for sure.. 3.

    :p

  19. Thought you distribute the 2 first to the numbers in the parenthesis
