    Fellow Farmers,

Whats going on. Here is my setup, what do you think? Anything I can change. Questions,

    1. I had an issue with algae, so I bought those covers, but I have nats. how do I make them go away? Do they hurt anything?

    2. How much longer should I veg these for? I got them as 8"-1ft. clones, they have been vegging here for 3 weeks.

    3. I am at 700 PPM, 5.5ish PH. General Hydroponics nutes in Lucas formula.
Using some bud candy to get some Mg in there. Should I go with some Calmag? I am using tap-water, but my tap water is only 45ppm out of the tap.

    4. When i flip these to flower, and they stretch, should I weave them in the screen? Or let them shoot up? I probably have the space.

    5. How often do I water? I can water up to 15 min intervals. I have an aerator in the res, so that should help with O2. I am currently feeding 8 times for 15min spread out through the 18 hours the light is on

    My setup is as follows,

    5x5x7 grow tent
4 strains of clones. (Ron Burgundy, Amnesia Haze, Confidential Cheese, and Purple Trainwreck)
    6"rockwool
Flood drain with a 35 gal res
General Hydroponics nutes in Lucas formula.
1000w hps dimmed to 600 for veg + 125 CFL
    Airator in the water,
    6"blower

  2. Gnats live off the fungus in the growing medium, and when they run out of food they start eating roots which can be harmful. Their kinda like dandruff, almost impossible to completly irradicate, so you have to try and control them as best you can. I used Gnatrol (I think) and it worked well, also they make soap based pesticide which are not harmful to your plants and you can lightly spray your rockwools. Gnats arent the end of the world, almost everyone has them, all you can do is try your best. Ive never had plants die from gnats but it gets annoying in flowering when they fly into the buds and you have to pick them out.

I think your ready to flower, in my opinion. When you switch to flower it still takes around 2 weeks for them to switch over to flowering, so they continue to veg for a while and get taller.

Also, not really sure but I think bud candy is made for final stages of flowering? Id go with general organics cal mag, but I dont think youll need it, tap water has trace amounts as should your nutrients which is more than enough for the plant.

Hope this helped, im no pro but im trying. Good luck!

  3. Thats some really great information. I will get some organic insecticide and see what happens. I can't believe I just spelled insecticide right....twice now lol

When they are stretching during flower, how do I train them? wind the branches through the screen?

I saw signs of Mg def. in some of my plants after the first week, 1/4 dose of bud candy has cleared that up, should probably get some calmag though I am thinking,

    Thanks for your advice,

  4. I used a screen just like that a while back, I had some headband that stretched super bad and big bunches would fall over under the weight. Id do whatever works really. Weaving sounds like a good idea. I just used to for support but either way works i didnt have much success as I couldnt keep up with the stretch. One thing about weaving is it may be a bitch come flowering time, but ive never done it so I think its definetly worth a shot.

    Awesome setup by the way
