5th Week Flowering

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by matt69x, Jul 3, 2020.

  1. Hey. If an experienced eye could look at the pictures below and say if they are looking fine or maybe need something. Plant on 1st pic with the yellowing leaves is either underfed or nute burn not sure. A bit of tiny brown tips so maybe nute burn? The other 3 look kinda fine I think?
    Day 34/35 of flower.

  2. The fading yellow is more than likely a vast ph flucuation. Obviously as plants feed and take in the nutes and spit out the water the ph of the water becomes more acidic so ph should always naturally rise. Idk how your getting water to your plants but i can say this. If you are using any type of resivouir or any tubing you definitly need to be taking that stuff apart and cleaning them once a week because builds up happens in resivouirs if theres not a 100 percent constant good flow making all that water move. In the bottom of certain pots too sludge will form and it could be super acidic its salt build ups. Some people would say flush id say just deep clean your equipment and putting in freshly made feed will dilute the rest. But hey this is just my opinion. Hopefully someone more knowledgeble can chime in. Beautiful plants though good work :)

  3. Thanks for the reply. I usually use a bottle with the top cut off. But I rinse it several times before using. The soil might be a bit acidic so I'll try and water with higher PH to try and bring it up a bit

They look good for the stage they are at. Maybe some more mag. Looks like at some point you’ve fed too much that’s why you got the burnt tips. But during the stretch most likely didn’t have enough N and sucked it from the leaves.

  6. Thanks for the reply as well. Yep probably overfed thats why the tips. But not sure why the yellow bright leaves. They are not at bottom either. Some are at almost top. Could that be underfed? Or is that actually cal mag like you mentioned? One last thing if you could look at the 2 pictures of the same leaf below its going kinda brown half of the leaf. That only appeared today. And i watered them like 2 days ago with calmag only and phed water. IMG_20200704_221824.jpg IMG_20200704_221832.jpg

  7. I dont see any bright yellow? There’s too many variables as to why and what and I know to little to even try and guess.

Is it me or is it more purpling than browning? How’s your temps, is it cold?

  8. To be honest it does look a bit purple. No temps are good. Lights off 23C. And lights on 28C. So like 74-82F.

And what I meant by the light colour plants and yellowish is the other ones. At the back. If you look at this pic below. The one at back is more bright and yellow in places. Dont know. Maybe Im seeing things lol. IMG_20200705_073736.jpg

  9. Looks normal to me. Lots of my leaves are turning yellow and falling off and everything is turning purple too! still got bout 30 days left.

  10. They look nice man. What day of flower is that? They look like they are at least 2-3weeks in front of mine haha

  11. hmm I would of though colder nights.. maybe the odd drop lower, I dunno it normally happens due to cold. Keep eye on it.
Yeah I see what ya mean it’s a bit more pale. Looks like it could of just done with some more N. They use up a lot of nitrogen and mag During stretch. Most cut too early but really you keep the N up through week 5 before you start tapering off.

  12. Thanks man. Will give them some more N. I know its hard to tell from pics etc. But would you say its possible for them to be ready for harvest in next 25 days?

  13. Tbh it’s properly too late for the extra N now just keep in mind for next time.

And it is impossible, you need a scope.
But by your timescale that would put you around 60 days which is the short end. and I’m guessing your counting from the day of 12/12 which makes it a week or two shorter still. Don’t forget the stretch doesn’t count as part of flower.
But It depends how you like your bud. I always go the longer For amber trichs.

  14. Are all of their pistils turning orange?

  15. I'm growing a sativa that sends out 3 sets of pistils. about the time the pistils turn orange another wave comes out.

  16. Thanks for the info. I've actually ordered a scope so should be here soon. Right I just gave it normal N dose yesterday as I am using the GH Trio Nutes. It just feels like they are going more yellow every time hmm. Hope it doesn't go all yellow lol IMG_20200707_090353.jpg

  17. Maybe you haven’t been giving enough at all :/..
But the green doesn’t come back. Once it’s gone it’s gone. You just need to not go yellow before the end.
