Hi All, I've now just passed the 58 days flowering stage and the plants still aren't harvested. It's taken loads of will power not to cut these babies down.....they look and smell amazing. Hopefully only another day or two and they'll be ready. Pics attached are day 57 of flowering. If these were your plants how much longer would you leave them?
You gotta pick up a 60x-100x microscope from Radioshack, they cost 10$. Look at the stalked resin glands, check the color. Thats how you'll know From OG: "Gland color will vary with ripeness of the individual THC glands, starting at clear, turning to milky, then turning to an amber color. There may be some exceptions, such as some of the Blue strains and Blackberry. These will have darker, sometimes purple gland heads. But by far and large, these three steps of ripeness will exist with the vast majority of strains on the market. The first stage, clear, will tend to make for a more cerebral, up high, with very little body effect. Harvesting at this stage when little if any trichomes are milky yet, can be tricky. Harvesting too early can make for a beautiful plant that will not have much psychoactive capability! THC needs to "mature" to be able to pass its psychoactive capabilities down to the smoker. This is why I always recommend waiting until 50% of the trichomes hit the second stage: milky or creamy. At this point, you will definitely have a plant which has reached its genetic potential." ~noctorum
Just a quick note: I always assumed that the fairly large hairs sticking out of the buds were trichomes, they are NOT lol. I just realised this yesterday when I got my suisse army knife out and used the superb magnifier it has. I could see all the tiny, tiiny trichomes coating the leaves and such near the bud sites. Was amazing, now I can tell when to harvest also Gg

Nice Work man! those pants look amazing. You cant tell me that you didnt even try smokin at least a bowls worth from one of those babies... Cant wait to see the entire yeild.
ROFL! That's quite an amusing typo ;p The plants do look nice though.. I'm still about two weeks behind you I think.. Though my one K2 plant seems to be ahead of the NLs by a fair way.. *drool*
