    the first couple weeks of surfing GC i still had dial up.

    Now i have roadrunner. :D

    56k sucks. I used to have to deal with that on vacations. Now I have a
    laptop for trips and I never have to see 56k again. I haven't even had a 56k
    modem since I got rid of my Gateway.

    The better question is, why the hell are websites still catering to 56k users.
    Force grandma with her E-Machines $499.00 computer to upgrade her connection.
