$560 for this mini tube?

I just saw this for sale today... heady as hell. I m not a huge fan of heady pieces (probably just because I can't afford them) but this one has tons of detail. Plus I love slime.

Who is the artist again?

 

I dont really know if its 560 dollars for the artwork or what, but based off of percolation i would put my money elsewhere if i were you. Too small with not enough diffusion. but thats just me... 560 can go a loooong way brotha.

 

Its an oil piece dude, supposed to be small and little diffusion.

Id say 560 is steep on that piece tho for my personal liking. $400 range would be alot more accurate and still even then maybe a little over priced.

If you wanna find a dope mini tube at a damn good price, check out "BigJ Schaeffer" on facebook. He does some seriously dope linework and his pricing is more than fair.

 

Worked pieces like this are definitely form>function. It's amazing to look at though and guarantee you will be one of few that had one like it. I know exactly what you are saying though. I buy 100% for function... but if I had more money to spend, why the he'll not!

 

Yeah Id hit him up on there. I was wrong with his last name, only one f. BigJ Schaefer.

He posts alot of his minis up in the for sale groups on facebook, but I'm sure you could get something custom for a damn good price. I got a slide done by him and it was worth probably double what i paid. Super nice dude, easy to work with, and great prices. Turn around time for my slide was super fast, just a few days.

 

Yeah you will deff get a hella dope tube from him for that. Haven't seen alot of milli work done by him tho, mainly does linework. He can also do faceting which can be super dope.

 

This was in a facebook group for $300 with dish dabber dome and downstem. So that should give you a fair idea of what youd be looking at for $600 lol

I know one other blade was looking for a custom slide and was having a little trouble getting in touch with him but I talked to J and he said hed make sure to find the message and reply.

 

Thats a pain in the ass honestly to find artist specific pieces lol. If you aren't in the facebook groups you gotta find them and join them and wait for approval. Once you are in, best way i've found is to just scroll down a hella long ways so its displaying a ton of glass on the page, and then use the Find tool to search for "BigJ"

 

There's dozens and dozens of free lance custom glass artists on fb. Like Flurgen said just add them as friends. They will accept your friend requests keep in mind their fb accounts are used for business so friends = potential customers.

I'd say $560 was far overpriced. 350-425 would be more accurate, imo.
