  1. Should I buy in for 120 @ 4/8 or 120? With 500 bucks would you play limit or no limit?

  2. oh shit, I thought you were talking about buying weed..

    I was like.....waaahh?

  3. Want to elaborate on wtf your talking about?

  4. play 1/2 unless you have $500 sitting around go for 4/8

  5. If you had 500 lying around but wAnted the sAfer bet would you play 1/2 or 4/8?

  6. bet on what. 1/2 of the 500 dollars or 4/8 of it? Whats 4/8 of 500.

    Still confused as hell.

  7. 4/8 is fixed limit 1/2 is no limit.

  8. Fixed limit.

  9. Bought in for 75 and turned it into around 380 but should have called the river with the flush and 4 to a straight with my kkk and I fucked up another hand so u should be up like 150 more but pulled a sick move with like 100 in the pot and got another guy to fold a tip pair top kicker with my pair and flush draw but the 150 I called away was terrible.

  10. I would play the 1/2 no limit , but i guess the real question is what is the average stack size sitting at the table? If people are sitting down with like 1000 + chips, i would probably try to find a smaller table. 500 is what i like to bring when the buy in is capped at 200. table average usually around 600-700 or less hopefully.

  11. whats your KKK? how did the hand play out?

  12. if you are talking about weed......... shit man idont know its your money

if you talking about something else........ shit i dont know its your money

  13. I was going to put my two cents in but now I'm just really curious to know what the question means.

  14. It has nothing to do with weed. Its about POKER GAME BUY IN VARIATION.

    He has 500.

He can play at a poker table with 4 dollar small blind and 8 dollar big blind, which is a limit poker game ( prolly 3 bet ). Or he can play at a different poker table with a 1 dollar small blind, 2 dollar small blind, and no limit on the bet amount. You can go all in at any time as long as it is your turn.

  15. Wow....

I didn't realize what sections this was in....

Thanks for helping me realize haha

  16. lolll

  17. The guy hit his straight and I paid him on the river. Would have lost more if u shipped the flop. He had kj and called mY raise to 15 pre. Limit hold em is much better if you can't fold that hand on the river in that spot

  18. Bought at mount airy at 63 bucks and ran it up to 430 then donked it off.

  19. Depends if you're playing for fun or for money, and if you're playing online or at a casino.

If you're playing online and you're looking to make money, you really need ~25 buyins for your chosen stake, then you need to sit and grind - stop playing if you're on tilt, and get as many hands in as possible when you're not.

The reason for 25 buyins is when you hit those streaks of horrible variance they mean nothing as you just bounce back up after. If you play 2NL for example, with $50, you have 25 buyins, and say you lose $15 in a row from a horrible streak of variance, you still have plenty to win it back with. If on the other hand you're playing 2NL with $10, if you hit variance, $15 is more than you have and you've lost it all.

Now okay, you could always re-credit your account, but if you have the money to do that you should deposit and make that your bankroll in the first place - and if you don't.. well, you know the rest.

    :smoke:
