50 mg of THC

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by sotrill, Dec 13, 2012.

  1. Is 50 mg of THC in an edible a lot? Seems like its a pretty weak amount. Like how much mg of THC is needed to start chilling hard :smoking:

  5. what lol, dont take everything so literally breh

  6. alot more, 50mg of thc? thats only 0.05g....

  7. Yes but it's 50mg of THC. Not 50mg of weed.

  8. It all depends on your tolerance.

For some 25mg would be a very strong dose.

  9. I think the only way would be trying it. Because there are alot of variables.
But i think 50mg will get you. Don't know how hard though. Because around that is a single dose of (insert psychedelic ummentionable here)(hope i ain't braking any rules) if i remember correctly.

Long story short: If i was you i'd go with 100mg. You know. You gotta do it big.
Report back OP. I hope you get fucked up :hello:

  10. start with 250 if you can

  11. yeah. i guess if you already got some extract that somehow allows you to count the mg's (i guess drops) i wouldn't be too careful. You gotta experiment with it anyway. To get the hang of it and see what amount you like the best.

  12. Those that are recommending stronger doses are being a little irresponsible. You can have a bad experience if you are not careful.

It really depends on how often, how much, and how long you have been using MJ. If you are a regular (not daily) smoker than 50mg will probably be a nice strong high for you.

  14. Correct me if I am wrong, but pure THC back in my day was called canebennol. I am not sure if we can discuss that on these forums.

"Cannabinol" (CBN) isn't even THC. It's another of many Cannabinoids found in Cannabis. (THC/CBD/CBN/CBG etc.)

0.05g of THC is like 0.25g of high-grade bud, or 0.5g of low grade.

It's enough for 1 edible, but maybe 75-100mg would be better just to make sure it hits you good ;)

  16. I think you are confusing the amount of whatever THC containing substance used in making an edible with the THC rating in an over-the-counter edible.

When I am talking about an edible with 50 or 100mg of THC, I am talking about the actual THC available in the product as rated by a local lab.

Most of the people that post on this board would be very high with a 25mg THC edible when rated this way. A product like this rated at 100mg is going to get the most seasoned stoner very nice and high for quite a while.

  17. Quite a few strains of weed have 15-20% THC content, IE white widow, so if a gram of white widow is the type of high your looking for, you should probably put in about 100mg, as food hits a lot harder than smoking. I have yet to experience food, but what I hear suggests this might be a good about. Try something like 75mg if you want it to hit softer, but I doubt under 50 is going to be much fun. Also, keep in mind that pure THC causes paranoia much stronger than weed, so be careful. It also causes apathy and depression, as I understand it. 200mg of THC is what's in most white widow 1 gram bowls/jays, but like I said, edibles hit a lot harder.

  18. I've never measured it like that myself, usually I'd go buy how many grams roughly went into each edible of a batch, but I know that's not how it's displayed at dispensaries.

All I know is I've seen videos of daily tokers (and I mean all day every day) taking a 4x strength bar (so 200mg) and be shitfaced high afterwards, so 50 should get a couple times a week smoker pretty fucked up.

  19. Ok take a 1g bud. If it has 20% THC thats 200mg of THC per 1g of bud. Now let's say when you burn said bud(this is not exact but an estimate) you lose half of your active ingredients. So that 1g of bud once burned gives you about 100mg of active THC. Base it off of this scale how strong it will be, as in how high you get if you smoke a gram. Now cut that in half because its only 50mg... Although it might still differ because eating and smoking gives different highs but this is a pretty standard way to tell.
