Hey GC, I am curious if anyone puts coconut hair material - think hanging basket material- in the bottom of the bucket to aid in soil retention and drainage. Also, holes on the side or bottom and what size drill bit ? Thanks
Use at least 9ml bit to drill your holes. put some holes in the side of the bucket, at the bottom. I think coco coir holds water - try course perlite or clay pebbles.
