Wow, first time posting some actual progress and not a help me thread This little baby popped out about 4 days ago, and i think (s)he looks good so far. Had some problems with hot soil in the first grow, so on this one i decided to use just plain peat, and will be repotting into sone organic soil (second week of cooking) in about a week. Had a bit of stretch due to the soil not beimg high enough in the pot, but i dont think it was a major problem. Any tips? Or am i fine so long? I do see the leaves look bigger than the other bag seed i used, which indicates indica or sativa, right? Don't use a straw. Get a stick and some thread. The straw creates hear around the plant and the stem bends faster. I learned that with my very first grow :-$ Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Thx for the tip on the straw, and i do i have a fan in the box, but its a 12v pc fan connected to a 5v cell charger, so its very slow. Will be upgrading to a proper oscillating fan in a day or two Sent from my C6603 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Stretching is not caused by the soil not being high enough in the pot, it is caused by lack of light. If you use peat again, great, but you really should mix in a bunch of perlite.
Islandhippy, there is some perlite mixed in there. What i meant by low soil, is the seedling sprouted but because the soil was only halfway, i would think that it was very dark in the pot, it stretched to just out the pot, amd stopped.
