Why do people keep there plants in the dark for 48 hrs right before harvest Sent from ........ using Grasscity Forum
Because I'm lazy and procrastinate on everything... Lol, I've done this and I haven't one this, I havent been able to tell a difference either way...
It is thought to mimic late winter when plants grown outdoors receive less light and make the push to secrete more resin in hopes of catching pollen from male plants and reproducing. I've only done it once and I did notice more sticky. Gonna try it again. I've also heard it's best to harvest during the full moon.
The reason I do it is because it speeds up the drying process......those last 48hrs the plant will use all its got to stay alive....so I find it really helps whole drying process.
