Was looking to get some more information or if any did this. Does giving 48 hours of darkness before harvest really help improve the trichomes? I began flushing this week and looking the harvest somewhat soon, I’ve been reading about how giving them 48 hours of darkness helps the trichomes
Same! It's not like I don't believe it or think it would be bad. Just keep forgetting to do it! Haha.
More confused stoner science. Does NOTHING at harvest. It does work at flip to flower to force a strong hormone response caused by the extended dark. At harvest it does exactly Zip. Nada NOTHING. BNW
I’ve heard that a lot even dispensary say it’s pointless. But so many people swear by it so I’m so curious to what people think
I would take a storekeepers word with a grain of salt. Had some big hit or miss conversations with a few to conclude this
I know I just try to see others perspectives about the darkness period. I’ll give it a try to see if any changes just wanna know if it’s pointless or not to not waste time
My buddy has a dispensary and one of his growers will up root the plant, remove the soil from the roots and spray them down with OR water twice a day during a 48 hr dark period. But seriously, if my home grown gets any stronger nobody would smoke it. lol
This is Bull just as Flushing before harvest is: check this on GC: Flushing Plants Before Harvest Is Unnecessary says Rx Green Tech IMO just chill and work on the knowledge either by us or from a good book cheers
What effect does this have? Can you elaborate? I'm intrigued. I'm at the start of my flowering cycle and am keen to try something that will boost my end result Sent from my SM-G973F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Iv'e done it, no ill effects. Can't say it did any good but no harm done. I get that you should cut them down after darkness and understand the urgency of the female to seek out pollination at the end in a last ditch effort so maybe 48 to 72 hours isn't a bad thing. Hmmmmmm
Goes in the same file as boiling the root ball and spraying club soda on your plants. Not a new stoner thought, been hearing that nonsense on the forum for the last16 years.
