420 bubble buckets

Discussion in 'Do It Yourself' started by SativanASpliff, Apr 21, 2019.

  1. I took advantage of a sticky thread and had fun with tools building 2 bubble buckets today. I’m planning on downsizing my Ebb & Flow system by transplanting 2 to the buckets, and topping them. Any suggestions as to which 2?

  2. I think you are going backwards, converting from flood and drain to DWC. Time will tell, my opinion only.

DWC system looks awesome though, nice work.

  3. Could you elaborate more on your thoughts here? You’ve got my wheels spinning, and now I’m nervous haha. Also thanks for the compliment.

  4. I think you should do a detailed presentation of how you made those DWC systems. Excellent work. I've never done one but would like to give it a shot.

  5. I could tell you how but I took advantage of a Sticky Thread made by a member here. His description is step for step on how I built mine. Won’t be how I do my next ones, but to each his own. I appreciate the compliment and would be more than willing to help with any questions, if any should arise.

  6. Construction is done and all is well thus far. Going to keep a close eye on everything the next few days but I’m already loving the idea of the ball valve. Has already made checking numbers a snap. Thinking about elevating and putting one on my flood reservoir. Anyone have any questions; I’m an open book.

  7. 25 days veg, 4 days after transplant. Everything is thriving; the bubble buckets are working great, and I still can’t find any Y splitters. I’ve been keeping the PH around 6 and humidity is usually higher than 60, it drops when I open the tent of course. Planning on building 4 more bubble buckets this weekend for the next round of veg. Also I’m going to build the cloning bucket for future use.

  8. They look good mate.

You've got a side by side DWC v's Flood and drain COOL!!!. I hope you document the outcome.

Keep this going, I'll watch :)

  9. Will do man, thanks for stopping by!

  10. 6 days after transplant and I’m 100% sold on the bubble buckets! These shots are in order from left to right, or closest to furthest; or if you prefer, biggest to smallest. Haha. Water change happens tomorrow with an increase in nutrients for all. Also I was thinking about topping the two in the buckets, but I went ahead and did them all. It was a total impulse decision. I started with the two in the buckets, shrugged my shoulders, and topped the other three right after. This being the first time I’ve tried topping, it goes without saying; I’m a very attentive parent as of late. Everything looks good to me and they seem to being going about business as usual. So, until another day.

  11. 30 days veg and in their new permanent home. We started the pre flowering stage of nutes last night, and I plan on switching to a 12/12 lighting schedule next week. At the moment the plan is to veg two to three weeks more after the schedule change, and within that time determine sex. After I receive and install the flowering light our maximum height can be four to five times their height now. As far as diameter goes we can get to around six feet or more. Well it’s time to check levels for the day and adjust accordingly. Any questions or comments; I’m here.

  12. 2 nights ago we started an aggressive regimen of BioRoot and Floraicous. The results speak for themselves and I’m more than happy. Also started the flood and drain 3 on a SOG training routine. Any questions or comments I’m here.

  13. Looks like it’s been a minute since I’ve updated this thread. Been busy on my Journal First legal grow . Either way; haha, it’s been like 6 weeks or less all veg of course. Water change tomorrow, if you’re interested in nutes holler at me. Any questions or comments I’m here.

  17. And then there were four. Pulled a confirmed male this morning leaving 3 confirmed females. The bucket on the left has yet to show it’s colors. Any questions or comments I’m here.
