My 1st time posting so hoping I can get help soon. I tried to turn on my hps 400 watt lamp this morning & just won't turn on. My ballast made a buzzing noise as it tries to light up my lamp but just won't come on. Anybody have a clue what's going on. My ballast still hums as if it was on.
my light is doing the same thing, my bulb used to flicker then light but now the ballast just buzzes and the bulb doesnt try to light. i was thinking mabey it was the ignitor?
Check all your chords & make sure there set in properly. Try another outlet to make sure same problem. If your ballast still buzzed it should be ok. Is your bulb old? Could be time for a new one. Good
