  1. I'm going to be running this lamp in a 2x4 foot closet. I can keep the closet door open and run fans, will that be enough?

  2. dude, that is sick. I'm recommending a cooltube. HPS get's so fooking hot!
I dont think an open door and fans will be enough.

  3. 8ft long x 5ft wide x 10ft tall
the room is split in 2 with a tarp, and the light and a fan runs the temp up 2 84deg. humidity like 60%

  4. Thanks for the info and advice guys, I'll deff. be planning some way to cool the room now! I should've known after the bulb was too hot to touch after being on for literally only 2 minutes:rolleyes:

  5. I am running a 400wt HPS and have no heat problems in a standard closet.

If it's too hot, sadly you'd have to do some venting in that closet.(Which involves holes in the ceiling) Before assuming you have a problem, set up a thermometer/ in there, turn on the light, close the door for like 2 or 3 minutes, check the temp. You might be able to work with it if you have a fan blowing across the light and another fan on the plants' stems, I doubt it though. If you can get good air circulation in there, who knows. Try this and post your results. There are several cheap ways to cool a closet floating around.
