400w HPS for veg?

    Hey Grasscity, quick question how do plants in veg and respond to the HPS? Veg room is getting to big and wanted to move some into flower room during lights on, thoughts...currently veggin with 2. 6bulb t5 set ups.

    That's 3 plants that I vegged under a 150 watt HPS. Works pretty well!

    I used to veg under t5 HO fluoros, but I switched to HPS 400w with a full spectrum bulb and they stayed much shorter, with less spacing between nodes and grew much faster. so i think you'll be pleased with the HPS vegging performance. just keep the light 12-18" away from the tops of plants so you don't burn them
