I am still a n00b so I need some help with ventilation here's how my closet is set up.
One 400w HPS and a 9x2x7 126 square foot room. Can anyone please help me with what I need to set up a ventilation system that's not to hard to setup?

EDIT: Also there's about a 2 inch gap under the doors, so is there a way to blow the hot air under one of the doors without drilling holes in anything?

  2. what are the dementions of the room?

  3. 9x2x7 sorry meet to add that

  4. its kinda long for one light two 250 watt hps would be better - - if you dont already have the light or consider some flourescence

  5. I would cut it in half and make a flower room and a veg room. Use cfls for veg. U could have a perpetual grow.

  6. that should work out great. do you have a hole to vent the air out? you are probly going to need a carbon filter theres good diy carbon scrubber threads that show you how to make one pretty cheep.

No I don't have a hole and that's my main prob because I don't know about drilling through the floor or wall ect. That part scares me but I just don't know of a other way tho is there? :( o and btw I'm only growing in that left side

  8. Is cutting though a wall or floor my only option?

  9. if you add co2 to the room you could make the room seald but then you would maybe need a dehumidifyer and stuff like that to keep humidity and temp down or seal off half the closet and vent to the other side and leave that door cracked if possible for now. and if you do have to drill a hole it would probly be best to drill through the celing and vent to an attic if possible in walls theres a small air space betwen the studs only 16 inchs apart and in the floor its the same with the joists.

  10. I've decided to just do it right and drill through the floor for fresh air and another for exhaust any ideas for fans to use?

  11. is there a good size crawl space under the floor?
i would use a couple inline fans but make sure no rodents can get up threw any holes ive herd of mice eating down some plants. that would not be good. filter the intake air also bugs and moths and gnats will find there way in also.

No this is in a house trailer so I'm just going to exhaust under it.
Will it smell like weed all in my yard?

  13. Can a good filter stop that?

  14. yeah they can a good carbon filter or ozone generator id go with the carbon filter not as spendy but still spendy.

  15. Thank you very much! I'm going to do that I think its worth spending a little money to avoid getting busted.

  16. i agree but i havent been able to cough up the money my self ive made two and neather were very efficient. good luck have fun. if you find anymore problems just ask send me a message,

  17. Thank very much.

  18. I have nearly EXACTLY the same closet, except for my doors are in the center touching each other, opening in the middle.

I use a 400w HPS like your drawing. It's on one side of the closet and it's cooled by a 6 inch can fan in the attic pulling on a 6 inch duct. on the other end of the light duct I have a can 66 carbon filter. This gets my light cooled and provides exhaust.

I too have the gaps under the doors but it doesn't open wide enough to get good passive air intake, so I have another fan in the attic blowing into the room. It's a 4 inch grow bright centrifugal fan and it intakes from a bathroom type fan vent that's in my laundry room. This way the intake air is heated / air conditioned instead of the 120 degree air in my attic in the summer time.

Then on the non-light side I have a couple shelves about 11 inches deep and half of the closet wide. They're about 34 inches tall and both have floros for veg/clones/moms. This gets me a 400w perpetual grow in a closet the same size as yours.

My setup DOES require drilling holes and such, so you might have to get more creative than putting 6" holes in the ceiling to vent into the attic.
