Hey guys, This is my first grow with a 400w HPS. I have 10 plants under the light that i germinated the other day. How much should I be watering the babies? I've been giving them 7 or 8 really good sprays from a spray bottle, but when I come back after about 20 hours, the soil is dry and hard on top. Should I be watering until it comes out of the bottom?
first off 10 plants under a 400w light is double what there should be. the light really cant do more than 5. as for the watering, although the soil appears dry on top, it is most likely moist a few inches down. thats where the roots are so thats where u want water to be. stick ur finger about 2" into the soil and if its dry, water
