Update: Added some risers underneath my Purple Kush & Pineapple Express to help even out the canopy. Also used some Bamboo sticks to spread out some branches and try to encourage lower bud sites to develop
Update: Did some final maintenance including fixing my clip on tent fan. It's a Vivosun fan, air movement is great and it oscillates which you don't find many clip on fans with. Only problem is the clamp is garbage. I was barely able to use the oscillating feature because it was just too awkward. Fan even fell off the tent pole once luckily it didn't damage any plants. Bought a bookshelf bracket from the dollar store. Zip tied it to the tent pole and mounted the fan on that. Much better and now I can use the oscillating feature. I can still adjust the height by just sliding the bracket (I don't have to remove any zip ties) but it's tight enough to hold it in place
Day 23 Seems like the stretch has slowed down. I would've preferred some more height. I was worried about running out of space so I flipped them. Next run I'll veg them a bit longer/taller. Plants range from 18-30" tall as of today Bud Porn
Day 31 Flower Watered w/Molassess (1 Tbsp / Gallon) Some more bud porn...they're starting to fatten up and fill out now
Side Note: Bought some new equipment today, 1000w DE Digital Vanquish Ballast (400w,600w,1000w) Vanquish Super MH bulb 1000w Vanquish HPS bulb 1000w Next round in tent will be 600w Eventually I'll move my grow space to my shed when I'll then utilize the 1K bulb. Doubt I'll be able to cool the 1K in my 3x3 tent even in winter with a cooltube. Popped some new seeds yesterday too. Incredible Hulk, Purple God, Skunkberry, and Space Bubba.
2 Week Update on Seedlings ...things are coming along nicely Will post update on Flowering Plants later...Probably harvest next week
Very interested to see an update on the flowering girls. I've been looking into going organic too, nice simple dry organics like you too. But I'm getting mixed signals on pot sizes. You've gone with 5 gallons I believe, which is what I plan on using, however some folks here are telling me there's almost no point unless I'm using a minimum 20 gallon pot. Curious to see how well yours are doing and if you're planning on using bigger pots next go around or continue with the 5 gallons.
This is my first "organic" run, I can already tell my yield is not as much as my last grow which was done in the same size pots with Coco/Perlite and GH liquid nutes. I'm not sure if that's because I have 4 plants when last time I only had 3 under the 400w HPS. Next run I'll be running 600w HPS. I haven't decided if I'm going to use the same organic Living soil again or if I'm going to try Coco/Perlite with the same dry amendments I'm using now. There's a guy on YouTube 'Mr.Canucks Grow' which uses Coco and the same dry nutes and gets good results. I just don't have the time to mix and ph nutes every watering so that's why I wanted to try organic. Also wanted to see the difference in flavor and quality in organics. I'll be starting a new journal for that once I decide. Thanks for checking it out
You’ll want to go 20gal or above in Organics. Bigger the root, bigger the fruit. I’m using 200gals now but switching up to raised beds soon. “You are unlimited!” Prepper420’s No-Tillin Adventure!
