400 Watt HPS in a 5x5 tent..

    hey guys, i have a 5x5 tent, with an aircooled hood, carbon filter, and a 420 CFM fan...my question is, will a 400 watt be suffice for 4 plants in a 5x5?im more worried about light coverage, and idk if it'll be enough for a 5x5... any inputs are welcome.. and thanks guys!

    I use a 600 watt hps for a 40" x 40" tent. No, a 400 would not be enough for that area. Rule of thumb is 50 watts per square foot. You would want a couple 600 watt lights for that area for a 1000.

    I'd go with a 600w as well. Might as well get a 600w digi ballast for your cool hood
