HIGH All, a good foot for sure...best test is too see if you can hold your hand that far away and of coarse it gets too hot it'd be too hot for you plants.

 

Uhhhh.... I heard you can put an MH bulb really close, but I dunno. Just go with your best judgement see where it feels about the right temperature and put the bulb a litter higher then that so you don't have to move it everyday.

 

the smaller 1s u can but not a 400, not unless its aircooled anyway.

 

ya then he should buy a fan keep it going on them all the time so they can soak up as much light as possible

 

hang your light 50 centimeters above your plant

 

gosh i should have payed attention better durring the metric system.

ok, i know this has been asked but i came across, well baught a nice work light that is a halogen. I know i have heard this is useless for growing, but well i was wondering if anyone else has ever used one, and if so, any results? they put off heat, but that can be fixed.

 

I used a halogen when I first started my plants but I haven't used 1 for longer then 2-3 weeks. But hey if you try it & it works then good job, if it doesn't then better luck next time.
