  1. I have a 400 watt MH on my seedlings about a foot from them, is that to close? I originaly had my light 3 feet away but i think that that was to far because one of my bigger seedlings to turn yellow. Can anyone give me any advice please.

  2. Ive never worked with MH before but I would imagine thats pretty close. As long as its not too hot I would think its fine though.

    Im no expert though ;)

  3. Soooo, why answer a question about something you have never used??

On seedlings that is a little close...
You do not say if you're running a cool hood/tube or not...
Or if you have a fan blowing across them..

    But general rule of thumb..
    16-18" seedlings..
    After a week, 12-14"...

I always suggest the hand test...
Put your hand just above the plants and wait 45-60 sec., if the lamp feels like a warm sunny day on the back of your hand, your good, if it feels kind of hot, too close...

  4. Thanks man. I don't have a cooled hood but i do have two fans and a humidifer. The temperature is about 75-79 n the humidity is between 40-50. Also my plants are 11 days in my roots r almost to the res.

  5. Ya, I would do 14-16" with no sealed hood and do the hand test...
