Hey man, your grow is lookin pretty stellar so far, had a few quick Qs about it tho. 1st: So did you end up topping/fimming more than once? If you were too, what do you top? The 4 growths you produced through fimming? How many times can you do this? 2nd: I've read up a lot on SCROG but am still having trouble fully understanding it. So without SCROG, you would only have 4 main colas, with all of the other branches below it producing small popcorn budsites, right? But with a SCROG, because the lower branches are able to get more light and have more room to grow vertically than they normally would without a SCROG, they too produce large colas? I'm am lost when it comes to where the budsites actually form. Do they form at the end of every branch where a fan leaf is at or where the branches split? Any enlightenment is appreciated!
Flower Day 20: Watered them today with 1TBSP of molasses (unsulfered) per gallon to each of the five gallons. I will be watering using this for every watering that is not with nutrients, so basically every other watering. Temps: On - 78 Off - 68 Thanks! I am using a analytical instruments brand digital pH pen for hydroponic use. It's nothing special I don't think. has ATC which automatically adjusts to the temperature so it doesn't skew the reading. Resolution: 0.1 pH Accuracy: +- 0.1 pH Range: 0.00 - 14.00 Awesome man, good luck! start a journal and let me know how it goes! I sure hope so... fingers crossed!! 1.) I only ended up topping each of the 5 plants once. If you wanted to though yes you would top each of the tops that you created from the previous topping. theoretically you can do this as many times as you want.BUT! as you do more, the more the top main cola of the plant will break down into smaller ones, eventually into a huge bush of popcorn nugs. What a scrog does essentially is to allow the plant to grow/be trained to a screen and by doing so keeps the whole plant at an even canopy height. by training sideways it causes all the side branches to get the same light and by doing this you can use your light more efficiently and get bigger yields. topping helped keep the plant even height and also allowed the sides to catch up with the main cola, making the plant bushier. The busites come from all the branches that you tie on their sides, all the sides now are tops and grow up, creating more 'tops'.....Hope all this helps lol let the NUG PORN begin! how thick it really is... Things looking great in there, buds really starting to come together. will be getting nutrients with the next watering in a day or two. trimmed out some of the foliage that was blocking the lower sites. looks really good with room to bloom. hey man, i'm going to put up a screen for my grow soon and i had a question about watering. How do you water all five of your plants now with them all attached to the screen? Is it just go under screen with bucket and water or what?
Flower day 25 Thanks!! I'll do my best I use gallon jugs filled with water (treated and left out to sit for at least 48 hours) and just get in there and do what needs to be done to give each water. I have a gravity drained system you can check out pics of how its set up on page 2 I think? when I use nutes i make sure each plant gets some of each gallon to keep everything even. I prob dont have to do this since everything is pH balanced but I do anyway. thanks! yes, each only once. the pH was a little off from what I wanted from the runoff when I watered yesterday sitting at 5.9 I hope it was just from the big nutrient dose they got.. 1/2 tsp/gal beastie bloomz 1/2 tbsp/gal big bloom 2 tsp/gal tiger bloom the in 2 of the gallons (of 5) I gave them 1/2 tbsp/gal molasses Temps: On- 81 Off - 68 some night time shots love that last one!! peace -DD

Watered today with some nutrients, I was running low on pH up and couldn't get to the store so I had to cut back a tad on the nutrients but o well everything is looking fine. 1/2 Tsp/gal beastie bloomz 1 TBsp/gal molasses 1 tsp/gal big bloom (im cutting down on the big bloom as I read on a few other journals and on another forum that should take it a bit east on the big bloom during mid flowering) 1 tsp/gal tiger bloom All water adjusted to pH 7.0 +/- 0.1 Runoff was pH 6.2 Temperature On - 80 Off - 68 Don't have any pictures to show you guys this time , will try to get some the next update. -DD
