Hey everyone. I am relatively new to this and I have a few questions. I am running digilux 1000watt HPS above this single plant. I know it is WAY overkill, but it is all I have at the moment. I am running General Hydroponic Maxigro, maxi bloom, and kool bloom. First question, when do I start adding kool bloom to the nutrients? Also, to clarify; I need to add regular maxi bloom AND kool bloom to my nutrients solution? I have yet to add kool bloom Another thing, the tricomes on crown bud look pretty ripe. But the buds are not very dense at all. What do you guys see from this picture? I have a picture of the temp/humidity, let me know what you guys see me doing wrong please! Me being a beginner, I ignorantly have not been keeping track of anything. Like when I started 12/12.. But I am sure it is 3.5-4 weeks ago. This baby is huge, like a tree.. ANY words of advice will be GREAT! Another thing, how many 4' t5 bulds do I need to make sure my mother plant is HAPPY? Please ask me anything, or let me know what I am doing wrong or well... Thanks!
For the nutrients you should have the schedule for general hydroponics. here is the link to there nutrient schedule, check out which one you fall under then go off of what week your are on. They look good man, remember it can take 60+ days for flowering depending on the strain. Some finish early some finish later. GENERAL HYDROPONICS She looks go though.! I'm subbed hope too help.
She looks go though.! I'm subbed hope too help.
Thanks for that info. GH's feeding schedule does not make perfect sense to me. It appears that GH wants me to put lots more stuff into my nutes then I ever have. Am I waiting on them buds to explode? Or will they continue to grow slowly?
During the later flowing like 40-50 days in you will see major difference in the plants bud size/smell and more often then not it will show a natural deficiency as it comes to harvest. And referencing the GH schedule you just use the nutrients you have based on when the schedule says example: So lets say it it ask for this, that and koolbloom during weeks what ever. If you only have koolbloom, then just dose the koolbloom as it says for that feeding.
heres some pics from today... Lots of leaves... but the buds are growing fast right now... this one is kind of a shame, but i just got a ez cloner and some Blue berry started.. so the future is looking bright!
good job man. pistil wont but there will be so many of them+ tha calyxs will swell up.where the pistels come out of. which will make it dense.you gonna be amazed.
Thanks! The resign glands/pistils? are turning into foggy white(not clear) ERECT figures... when should I put this planT on straight water?
you have to watch the crystals not the pistils. When most of them are milky and some amber is more of an uplifting high, when some are milky and most are amber- thats a body high. depends on what you want from your plant.
You want to be watching the trichome development under a microscope or magnifying glass. The trichomes begin to mature any where from 60-80 days into flowering depending on the strain. I have some pictures STRAIN CLOSE UPS You want to watch them until they are 1/3 amber because trichomes still mature after harvested and if you let i go to long and pick it to late it can be harsh; again depending on the strain because a lot of sativa based strains take longer to flower then your indica.
Here is an update. I plan on chopping this one down within the next 4 or 5 days. I have been running straight tap water for the last 4 days already! Any tips?
HAve you checked the trics yet? I don't see any leaf yellowing and that's normally a sign that the plant is close to the end. I think most strains take 8-10wks to finish and if you were 4wks at first post then you still are only 6wks in. Not that you can't harvest soon but without checking the trics you are just guessing. I know the wait is SOOOOOO hard, but it's worth it in the end. I bought a pocket microscope from Radio Shack and that's how I check mine. BTW, nice looking plants
Thanks! The tricomes are milky and clowdy. None at clear, like they were before. How milky should they get? before turning amber.
I messed up man, I never kept track of dates for this plant. Although I do know when I turned it to 12/12 (december 22). It was kind of a lone survivor. It will be on 8 weeks in like 5 days. and that will make roughly 10 days of flushing. Some of the leaves are beginning to look old and seasoned. Tips curling, endges starting to look "old" The buds are a pretty good size, and the leaves have massive amounts of resign on them. Even though I am a beginner, this one turned out much better then my first batch.. haha Thanks !!
