What's the school of thought on turning off the lights for more than 12 hours at any point during the growth of the plant? Just my non-scientific opinion....what I'm doing with my grow room is simulating nature, and nature hasn't shut the lights off for that long, ever.....well maybe once but Dante's Peak is a movie. I know there are some people that do this, I'd be interested in hearing why, and what it does to improve the plant. I suppose a plant might start burning up all it's stored energy and that might make things bigger or better or both....is that what it is?
heard it can have results .from the plants giving all its last juice to buds but could backfire maybe cause hermi's be carefull n goodluck
Its proven that light aids (very slightly) in degrading THC and its proven that the THC levels spike after a long period of darkness, i read this in a high times article. So if you have more than one plant or even just chop off a couple branches at the begging of the day of harvest, then leave the rest for a couple more days and see if you can tell a difference in the smoke. Thats what im going to try in my upcoming harvest, i actually just cut some down the other day way early and it still lit me up. Good luck
I leave mine in the dark 36 hrs before I pull them and to me it seems to make a difference, IMO, no proof other than experience.
